Belaya wearily stepped into her humble abode, her eyes, surprisingly, were no longer their normal stormy blue but a dull and dead sort of dark, depressing blue. The young witch hadn't been to Hogwarts or The Den in a long time. Not since she had run away in April... Her reason? Well... Let's just say it had something to do with the little voices that the troubled girl always heard in her head. Those voices were temporarily gone however but only, mind you, temporarily. They would come and haunt the poor Fourth Year soon...
"Glamoura... I guess that... that we're finally home. God... It'll be a bitch to catch up with all that work when we go to Hogwarts." Belaya let out a laugh, obviously strained and forced. It was apparent that the teen hadn't really used her sense of humor in an extremely long time but even this forced bit only lasted for a few seconds. "Well... If we ever go back.

Once Belaya entered her messy home she collapsed on her small cot which was cluttered with various clothes, junk and paper with Glamoura hopping on top of her. However, it was just about when she started to relax and desperately trying to ignore the never ending voices in her mind when her rather pesky DADA professor came in. Usually she would be extremely annoyed but, now, she was just way too tired to argue or even be annoyed.
"Yeah. I'm here... This is where I live." she answered him, her voice slightly scratchy as if she had just woken up. "I just arrived here though. Glamoura, stand down."
As she answered Brent McKinney her loyal wolfdog perked his ears, glared at the older man and growled threateningly as if to say "Touch her and you die." but Glamoura stopped growling when his master told him to. However, this didn't stop him from glaring st Brent with his sharp, golden eyes. Meanwhile, Belaya glanced up at her peer, showing her dead blue eyes. It truly was a sad sight to see the girl who once was full of spunk and fire in her eyes was now reduced to... this. It wasn't really new for her to look like this. it had happened before when she was much younger.

here?" he cried in disbelief, running a hand back through his hair. So she'd run away to live in a crappy tent with her wolfdog? Something was obviously wrong here and there was no way on earth he was going to allow her to stay. He eyed Glamoura cautiously. Brent had never gotten on with the Hufflepuff's pet, despite it being half-dog, it was a lot scarier than most dogs so that probably explained a lot. It was depressing to see Belaya in such a state. Brent had to do something about it... "Dro- Belaya, listen, you can't stay here. You need to come back to Hogwarts, or at least somewhere safer than here. There's been a lot of... weird stuff going on lately." he told her firmly, frowning down at the girl, "So, are you gonna come quietly or do I need to get Professor Jackson?"[/ul]

Belaya slowly stood up, pushing the white canine with black ears off of her, and dragged herself to one of her 3 wooden chairs, clearing it and motioning for Brent to sit. Afterwards, she reached over her small table and turned on her cheap and extremely old radio on. Almost as if sensing the girl's mental pain and frustration, the radio played one of her favorite songs. Empire Ants. For some strange reason it always calmed the troubled girl and made the voices quieter and easier to ignore, sometimes even causing them to shut up completely.
"No. I'm not going back. I don't want to." Belaya finally responded after trudging back to her cot. The music had returned some strength back into the teen's body. Just enough to say no to the professor. "This is my home and I am perfectly safe here. I've lived here ever since I was First year. And yes, I have heard and known about a few strange happenings. They are of no concern to me."

in his mind with as much force as he could manage before a wisp of silvery-blue light came from his wand, forming a ghostly stallion which would find Chase for him and bring him here. He didn't think he'd be able to get Belaya back by himself, hopefully it wouldn't be such a challenge with Chase's assistance.[/ul]

Chase had been grading papers when he saw Brents patronus show up in his office, demanding Chase followed it. Chase didn't object at all, since it was Brent, and quickly grabbed his wand before going over to the patronus and following it until he could aparate.
When they had gotten to where the patronus was leading him, the stallion disapeared and Chase saw Brent and a girl Chase knew was named Belaya but had never talked to her. "What's going on, Boo?" Chase asked with confusion clear in his eyes.
Chase was pretty sure that Brent had said he couldn't help Chase look for the injured unicorn in the forest because he had to do something. Was this was he had to do? Go visit some girl in a tent? Well that was a little odd. Chase was sure he wasnt getting tthe full story, but Brent would tell him later, right? Sure he would.

Belaya just let out a tired sigh, not even attempting to stop Brent from conjuring his Patronus. Besides, it was currently extremely hard for her to conjure a Patronus thanks to the voices. Actually, it was hard to stay sane because of the stupid voices.
"Huh... The two of you are dating." Belaya commented as Chase aparated into her tent, her tone unsurprised and stoic. "Hello Professor Chase."
Luckily for both of the men, Belaya was calm and exhausted. If she wasn't then that would be extremely bad. The girl was, in all honesty, supremely annoyed with the two lovebirds and would've changed personality by now if she wasn't as sane as she was now. It truly did feel nice though, being in control of yourself. Being able to stop the voices from speaking. But that was a privilege only a sane person got and Belaya was not sane.

getting her back to the castle or somewhere else he knew that was safe. One way or another, he would make sure of that. "She ran away from the castle.. what.. three months ago now? Three whole months, Chase." he told his boyfriend once he'd arrived, "So we're taking her back." How she was still alive, Brent didn't know. But he'd seen from the time they'd spent in Russia that maybe she knew how to take care of herself. It wasn't right though, an underage witch living out in a tent in a forest with nothing but a wolfdog for company. "Uh... yeah." Brent said slowly in agreement to Belaya's comment, "Not that it's a particularly pressing issue right now, given the current situation."[/ul]

Chase was kind of confused right now to be honest. Brent had come here to get a student that ran away three months ago? That didn't sound like Brent. Sure, Chase knew he had a heart. He had a big heart, actually. He just tended not to show it to many people.
He nodded at Belaya when she stated on them dating. That was weird. She hadn't asked. She had commented on it. How would she have known that... Chase shook his head and walked closer to the girl. He crouched down and looked at her.
"Why don't you want to come back to the castle, hun?" Chase asked her. "You'd be safer there. It's a better place for someone your age to be than here. If something happened that made you not want to be there, let us know and we can deal with it." Chase looked at her with a pained expression. No girl should have to live on her own like Belaya clearly was. They should either be at Hogwarts, or with their families. This wasn't acceptable.

Belaya would have liked to give Chase a defiant glare but, instead, she gave him a sad, knowing shake of head. No one would really understand how she felt right now. No one knew how hard it was to listen and listen and listen to those voices without going completely insane at once. It took lots of energy, patience and strength for the young girl to keep on grasping at her sanity. This was the true problem with Belaya Drocellmeyer. Not having to fend for herself or live with only a wolfdog as a companion but the voices. A young, healthy teenager shouldn't be haven to be driven to insanity by voices in their heads.
"The castle isn't good for someone like me. If I went back there it would be more dangerous for me and the people around me." Belaya replied softly, walking back towards her small cot, trying her best to listen to the song on the radio, Brent and Chase's breathing. Anything really to distract her from the never ending noise in her mind. "I'm able to live with only myself and Glamoura so it's okay. Leave. I'll be fine. It's better this way."

?" Brent butted in with a concerned frown. He couldn't see how Belaya could be dangerous at all and maybe there were some minor threats at Hogwarts but surely nothing in the castle could be bad enough to lead to her running away. Brent walked over to Belaya wearing a determined expression, one that said he definitely wasn't going to take no for an answer. Not that he was sure that would make much of a difference anyway. "You must be mad if you think we're leaving you here, Drocellmeyer." he narrowed his eyes, "Now, c'mon."[/ul]

This was confusing Chase. Majorly. The castle wasn't for someone like her? That didn't make sense to him. "What do you mean? You're a witch. And Hogwarts is meant for anybody with magic. Like you. If something is going on, you can tell us, Belaya. We'll help you through anything." Chase looked at her seriously. He meant that. Chase would help anyone in the world if they needed it, and it seemed like Brent really cared about this girl. He came after her.
"Where are your parents, sweetie?" Chase asked. It didn't make sense to him why her parents were no where in sight. "Professor McKinney is right. We're not leaving without you. If it's the people in your dorm... we can work out other arrangements. If it's classes... we can do something. We can help you no matter what it is."

Belaya simply stayed quiet, ignoring Brent's question, and looked around her room tiredly. Glamoura, worried for his master, padded over to her, gave her head a lick and hopped on top of her, giving a small warning growl to Chase and Brent. If they dared do anything to the tormented girl that the wolfdog did not approve of, they had better prepare for pain. No one messed with Belaya Volkchik Trancy Drocellmeyer and her wolfdog and got away with it.
"My parent's, eh?" Belaya finally said after a long period of time, shifting slightly. "How am I supposed to know? From what I heard last they had gone missing. I don't know what happened to them and nor do I care as long as I never, ever have to see them again. My problems.... My problems are not with my fellow Hufflepuffs, though they do party a lot, nor my classes. If it were my classes I could just have skipped them."

your problems with?" Brent asked with a small sigh. Why she couldn't just tell them straight out in the first place, he didn't know. But, then again, this sounded serious and apparently not anything to do with school. It had to be pretty bad for Belaya to actually run away though... Brent wasn't too sure whether or not he actually wanted to know any more after that thought. If he wanted to help and get Belaya out of this damned forest then it would probably be of his and Chase's advantage if they knew what it was that had driven her there in the first place.[/ul]
