Where is Here?

The Ministry of Magic was huge. Alex seriously needed a map or something. He had been by Reid's office to drop him a plastic tub with some creamy chicken and wild rice soup inside, along with a fresh baguette that he bought on the way. Finding the office empty, Alex had set the tub and bread on top of the desk with a note that just said: Don't work too hard, AJ ♥

And then he'd gone for a walk and gotten a bit lost.

"You are here..." Alex read, gnawing on his bottom lip while he tried to make sense of the map on a large billboard. "...where is here?" He chuckled faintly and looked around. He was near the Aurors' office, that was all he really knew. Everyone seemed too busy to help, though. Alex bet they had better things to do than to point Alex in the right direction. He shrugged his shoulders. If he kept walking he'd end up somewhere eventually. Maybe he'd even bump into Reid. Who knew?

Alex backed away a step from the billboard. A bit of a bad idea since he wasn't really seeing where he was stepping. With a small startle, Alex bumped into someone.
"Ay! Sorry, señor. I-I didn't see you there." Cue an embarrassed blush. Alex hoped it wasn't someone too far up the ladder. If it was he was totally going to get kicked out of here.

Alex wasn't being yelled at - that was a good sign. He turned around to face the young man properly, flattening out his clothes in an attempt to regain his composure. He avoided looking at the blond man until he was sure his reddened cheeks had faded some.
"No, its alright, I wasn't looking eith... either." Alex had looked up. Merlin he was cute. Awkward. He seemed familiar too. Maybe he had been in Hogwarts round about when he had been those years back.

"You see... I'm... heh..." Alex glanced around a moment. The blush was back. Stupid body. Doing what it wanted. He lowered his voice and gave a half shrug. "...I'm maybe a teeny bit lost?" He offered the man a weak smile and rubbed the back of his neck before mindlessly playing about with the end of his scarf.

"So... if you could, like, point me in the correct direction or something... I'd appreciate it greatly."

Alex told himself to relax - by the looks of things this fellow was going to help him out, possibly. And he had a musical laugh that was enjoyable to the ears, it even brought an honest smile flitting across Alex's lips. It only faltered slightly when he realized that he wasn't too sure where he wanted to go.
"Alexander García Torres." Alex beamed, offering the man his hand to shake. "Just Alex'll be fine. And you?"

But what luck. Out of all the people he'd bumped into, he'd collided with a pleasant person that looked rather cute and sweet. But you didn't hear that from Alex.
"I'm headed to... the Department of Magical Games and Sports. Seventh floor." He thought for a moment - would Reid even be there? Did he want to go all the way back just to find an empty office again? He felt a pang of hunger. No. He didn't want to go back there. He'd came and done what he had planned to do anyway which was drop the man some food off. "Actually... how is the food in the cafeteria here? Is it any good?"

[/i] ring a bell somewhere and now that he thought about it, this Alex did look rather familiar. Then a thought struck Teddy, it seemed to explain a lot. He replaced his frown with a beam to match the other wizard's, "Ted Lupin, though I prefer Teddy. And am I right in saying you were in the same year as me back at Hogwarts? It's just that you seem awfully familiar."

Teddy would hate to have mistaken this Alex for someone similar so thought it would be a good idea just to check to save himself some embarrassment.

"In the cafeteria? Well, uh, it could be better but it's not too bad I guess." he shrugged before glancing down at his watch, "I suppose I could take an early lunch today..."[/color][/ul]

Ted Lupin. Of course Alex knew who he was. The other man was right in asking if they'd been in the same year - they had been. Alex remembered Teddy well, he was a bit of school celebrity since his godfather was none other than Harry Potter.
"Teddy, peluche. Yeah, we were in the same year. I was a claw you were... a huffie, right?" Alex giggled lightly, burying his hands in his pockets. "But, yeah, I remember you. You've... grown up well." That much was true. Alex remembered Teddy as the sort of guy that would've gone unnoticed hadn't it been for his ties with the famous Mr. Potter. Had the teenage Alex maybe made a pass at the teenage Teddy? Alex certainly wouldn't put it past himself. Teenage Alex wasn't much different from adult Alex.

"And yay for early lunch!" Alex took a stride away but stopped himself in his tracks. With a small smile and an awkward flush in his cheeks, he turned back around - he had no idea where the cafeteria even was. "Be a corazón and, uh, lead the way? Please?"

Teddy laughed as Alex started to supposedly make his was towards the cafeteria but then had to stop. "Of course." he chuckled, shaking his head a little at the other wizard, "Just stay pretty close to me or we'll end up getting separated. You can see what it's like in here."

And, with that, Teddy started making his way towards the cafeteria, flashing Alex a quick smile as he did so.[/color][/ul]
