Aiden apparated them to his living room. "Welcome to my private flat, Brent. Even my parents don't know this place exists." He told Brent as he let go and walked over to the kitchen to get glasses and a pitcher of juice. "We shall not have any beer since I need to be in my right to tell you about my family." he said with a smile.
He sat down on the sofa and pulled Brent with him. He took the bag of cat things from Brent and placed them on the floor. "So, where shall I begin? Hmmm..." Aiden said as he poured juice on the glasses.
"I guess I should start when you left... You see Brent, father inherited a huge sum of money and he invested. Within a year, his boos gave him a raise which just made everything better for us. We moved to a bigger house and had better things but it was where mother and father started to change as well." he sighed. This was harder than Aiden thought.

Aiden smiled at Brent before sighing. "It got worse after that. They began to teach me a lot of things and I was just 8 or 9 then. What would a kid know about business and advance magic. But that didn't stop them for doing what they did." Aiden said with a serious face.
"They started to create another Aiden. An Aiden that obeyed them and did what they wanted. An Aiden that hated mistakes and only wanted perfection. It was the side of me that had full reign until I finally decided to leave them and come here." Aiden said.
"Father had found me shortly after moving into Zonko's. And the reason you saw me in America then was because I was being requested by my father. He made a deal that if I work for him, he'd let me do whatever I want and he would keep his hands away from you." Aiden faced Brent.
"The only reason I agree was because he had enough tricks up his sleeve against me. Father had found out about Maryn , Chase, and even Tommy. And he warned me that he'd have them disappear if I don't agree. I did all this for you, Brent." Aiden told Brent with all the courage he could muster.

No, that would just make things worse, Brent was sure of that much. "...Keep his hands away from me?" he echoed quietly, feeling a little nervous now. But Murph was protecting him, and Brent couldn't help but feel immensely grateful for that. He let out a sigh, resting his head Murph's shoulder as he did so. Knowing that Murph had done all of this for him... Brent was at a loss for words. "Y-you shouldn't have. I'm not worth that much trouble." he murmured before letting a thought slip his mind that had been bothering him for a while, "And it seems Maryn's already disappeared... but where to, I dunno. Nobody knows or, if they do know, I haven't been told anything."[/ul]

Aiden chuckled then hugged Brent. "I would do anything and everything to protect you, Brent. Since I wasn't able to do it when we were growing up, I swore I would make up for it now. I'd even protect Tommy and Chase for you. Because they make you happy. Hell, I'd even protect Torres and Rutherford for you. As long as your alright and happy." he comforted Brent.
Aiden didn't want to tell Brent that it was Jackie who killed Maryn. But he wanted to know how Brent felt about it. Aide pulled away from the hug and looked at Brent, "What do you want me to do? Do you want me to look for her? Because I would do so in a heart beat if you say so." Aiden said and gave Brent a warm smile. "I love you enough to be your friend and protect you and everything you hold dear." he added.
"Yes Brent. My father will never be able to lay his filthy hands on you. Not while I am still alive. So you have nothing to worry about. I want you to promise me that no matter what happens, you will never make a deal with my father. That you will tell me if he has made contact with you and if he approached you personally. Can you promise me that?" Aiden asked Brent seriously.

Aiden chuckled, "Yes, me, I'm Murph and your Brent..." He teased Brent to make him smile. He didn't like seeing brent crying, even if it were tears of joy. "I'd do it even if you'd get made at me. You can't stop me from protecting you and everything you hold dear. It's the least I can do as your friend, right?" Aiden added with a soft pat on Brent's hair.
then he sighed. "Alright. If you say she's alright, then she is. But that offer still stands whenever you want to talk to her." Aiden was a bit glad that brent didn't want him to look for Maryn that soon. Aiden wouldn't know how he was going to explain to Brent that Maryn's death was cause by Aiden's best friend.
Then Aiden smiled again. "You really have to promise me, Brent. No matter what my father does, you must never go near him or even speak to him. He will try a lot of things to get you and use you to have full control of me. And he knows that your that weapon to make me his slave." Aiden said as he placed his forehead against Brent's.

That was all Aiden wanted to hear. "Alright. At least I can relax for a bit. Knowing that you know what my father can do and what happened to us makes me feel lighter." he told Brent then sighed. "I am sorry though that I didn't tell you through our letters. I didn't want you to feel bad or guilty for not being there when I needed someone for comfort." he said as he stroked Brent's hair.
"I knew that you'd probably do something really stupid like apparate back to America and save me. Well.. Maybe not really.. But I thought you would and it did help me a little." Aiden was bearing his soul out to Brent now. "Imagining you coming for me was the only thing that kept me going. Even if I knew that it was all in my head."
Then Aiden's forehead wrinkled a little. "Shouting match? That sounds horrible. But then again I am glad that nothing else happened. I think you really should just give her space. She needs to sort out her priorities now that your no longer married to each other." Aiden suggested.

Aiden chuckled, "Please Brent, don't make me regret not telling you the whole truth then. how in heaven's name would you have taken care of me? At the age of 15, you and I both know that you could barely take care of yourself." Aiden teased again. Brent was the person who couldn't take care of himself properly.
"But then again, I am glad that I didn't. I didn't make you sleepless to think if I'm still breathing and alive." he added as he summoned a bucket of beer in from of Brent. "Since we've tackled about the horrible past, I think we can have a bottle or two of beer now." Aiden handed Brent an open bottle.
"Tell me, is there anything I can do for your wedding? I want to be able to do something for you Brent. I can buy the flowers, I can pay for the dinner. Anything... Just let me do something for you..." Aiden asked.

Aiden laughed. "I told you... Besides, your parents would probably just send me back to my parents and it would have made things worse for me. But enough of my past. I'm better now and free." Aiden said as he took a sip of his beer. He was going to enjoy his afternoon with Brent.
"Please Brent. Won't you let me do anything for you? Think of it as my gift to you for such a wonderful occasion." He told Brent. Truth be told, Aiden hated the whole idea of Brent marrying Jackson. That man didn't deserve his Brent and that said, Jackson should just disappear. But that won't happen for a little while.
"It would not make me happy if I didn't do anything for you on your special day." Aiden knew that he was going to win this conversation. He just would.

too nice." he corrected himself quietly. Yes, Brent would know all about that. He'd thrown all of that kind-heartedness right back at them, rejecting his own parents even though they still tried to keep him close when things reached their worse. He snuggled up to Murph again, putting his head back on his friend's shoulder before letting out a deep sigh and taking a large swig from his bottle of beer. Brent knew there was one thing he could try on Murph that rarely failed him: the puppy dog face. It would make him feel bad if Murph helped out when he didn't need to... it wasn't his place to help out, therefore he just shouldn't. "Pleaseee. I would make me feel better if you didn't help out when you didn't need to.." Brent whined, tilting his head upwards towards Murph, widening his eyes and sticking out his bottom lip while he tried his best to look as innocent as possible.[/ul]

Aiden laughed as he listened to Brent whine. He was really cute. "Brent, if you don't stop that pouting of yours, your going to make me commit a mistake against Chase." Aiden said, still smiling. He wanted to have Brent right then and there but Aiden knew better than to do it. It would make Brent angry.
"You know what, I shall not help then. But if you need me, you know that I'll be here when you do, right?" Aiden asked with a concerned smile. He patted Brent's head. "So, how long do you have until I have to return you to Chase and Tommy?" He joked as he chuckled.
"I'm asking because I do not want to return you to them drunk. Chase might not like me if he knew I made you drink to your heart's content." he added.
