Chase wasn't sure where Brent was last night. He knew he went shopping, but he should have been home by now. It was half past midnight when Chase finally fell asleep accidentally on the couch. He was trying to wait up and see where Brent went to, but he lost the ability to stay awake.
He wasn't sure what time it was when he heard the click of the door and someone walk in. Chase was too tired to fully open his eyes yet, though, so he simply called out "Boo? 'S tha' you?" Chase tried to lift his head slightly, but it felt too heavy from sleep. "Where were you... I waited. But I fell asleep." Chase explained with a sleepy smile toward his fiance.
Chase missed Brent last night. He had wanted to wait for him so they could go to their bed together. "C'mere. I missed you..." Chase murmured as he held his arms open for Brent to join him on the couch. He had missed his Boo last night, but Chase was sure Brent had a good reason for being out so late with no explanation.

Why did it seem like Brent was a bit off right now? Chase knew the man inside and out and there was something about him right now that said there was something wrong. Chase didn't say anything at first as he waited for an answer as to where he was.
When Chase got the answer that he was at Aiden's, Chase held his breath for a moment. Chase could tell from their little meeting that Aiden liked Brent. Chase was good at reading people. He knew that he was Brent's best friend though, so he let it be. He just wanted Brent to be happy.
"Why aren't you in my arms yet?" Chase pouted as he finally opened his eyes and looked at Brent standing in front of the couch. "What's going on... why do you... look off. What happened?" Chase asked as he sat up so he could look at Brent better.

Chase started to fully wake up when he realized whatever was on Brent's mind was something serious. His face told Chase that Brent had done something and Chase was afraid to find out what that was. He swallowed hard as he waited for Brent to talk because it seemed like he was going to tell him whatever was on his mind.
When he finally did say what he wanted to, Chase froze completely. He felt his heart stop beating and his breath become heavy. "Brent... that's not funny. Don't make jokes like that." Chase sad in a whisper, hoping to God it was just some joke. Chase didn't think he could go through Brent cheating again.
Then Chase saw the tears forming in Brent's eyes. He really did cheat on him. Brent made out with Aiden while Chase was laying on the couch waiting for him to come home. "Oh God..." Chase whispered as he felt the hot tears come to his eyes. His hands found his head as he attempted to hide the crying. "Not again..."

he thought bitterly. Brent wanted to go over to Chase but he wasn't sure of he would be welcome, or pushed away again. Brent knew that rejection would cause the tears to start falling. He said nothing, the guilty expression on his face said it all for him. Chase was obviously crying, Brent was desperate to go and sit down, hold him close and convince him that everything was going to be okay even if he didn't believe it himself. Brent knew he wouldn't have the right words to say if he ever gathered up the courage to go over to Chase in the first place though. Just seeing Chase cry made the tears stream down Brent's cheeks. He'd been the cause of them again. But Murph hadn't helped at all. Murph hadn't stopped him even though Brent was engaged to Chase. Could he really blame him though? The man was in love with him... "I-I'm sorry." Brent whispered, his gaze flickering to Chase for a moment before he looked away again. There was so much more Brent wanted to say, he just couldn't get it out.[/ul]

Chase couldn't believe this. He felt the tears coming down his checks and the reality of this entire thing. Brent had cheated on him, again. It wasn't bad enough the first time but he had to go do it again. Chase didn't think his heart was going to be able to take much more. "Brent. Our child is going to be born any day now... and you just fucking cheated on me." Chase whispered to him.
It seemed like something in Chase clicked after realizing it. His tears turned to anger. "No... you're not sorry, Brent. If you were sorry you wouldn't have done it after the first time you cheated on me." His head was out of his hands and he was looking at Brent like he had probably never looked at Brent before. It was an odd mixture of anger and disbelief. Something Chase never wanted to have on his face when he was with Brent, but it seemed like it was now.

. It wasn't fair on Chase, Murph or the baby. And he'd made Chase cry, which was something that really tore Brent up. Knowing he'd caused them to be there in the first place and that Chase didn't deserve this at all, it only made Brent angry at himself. Partly for allowing himself to cheat on Chase like this, twice now, and partly for not running away yet. Perhaps running would've been a better option. Anything was better than seeing the pain he was causing Chase. Whatever Chase said, whatever was actually going through his head right now, Brent honestly was sorry for this. For all of it. Even if he had a funny way of showing it. This was Brent. And, as much as he didn't want to admit it to himself, he had the feeling this wouldn't be the last time something like this happened. "I-I.. didn't mean for.. for anything to happen." Brent sighed quietly, running a hand through his hair. Brent really had no idea of what else he was supposed to say right now.[/ul] (OOC: Bleeh.. falling asleep.. might now make much sense.)

That was all he got. Chase was cheated on and all he got was a I didn't mean for it to happen. Of course he didn't fucking mean for it to happen. Chase still had tears flowing down his face, but he was getting even more angry by the minute. Chase didn't get angry easily and he thought maybe this was just his body telling him not to cry in front of Brent.
"I can't believe you, Brent. I really can't believe you. I thought you had learned your lesson with Andrew. That you weren't going to cheat on me again! Guess I was wrong." Chase spat at him before getting up and walking away from Brent a little. His back was turned away from him. He couldn't look at the love of his life right now. "Just... go." Chase told him in a whisper.
"Let me calm down a bit, then we'll talk. Unless of course you just want Aiden. If that's the case then leave and never come back." Chase didn't think he could handle the second option, but he had to say it because right now he felt like his fiance loved everyone else more than him.

Murph sparked an anger in Brent. Last night had just been Brent being desperate, drunk and severely lacking in common sense. Nothing more. "As much as he wants me, I don't want him. I'd never want anyone but you." Brent snapped back at Chase, so what if it seemed as if he'd just contradicted his actions last night? It was what Brent believed to be the truth. And before Chase had the chance to question him on it, Brent stormed back out the front door, slamming it behind him and not looking back.[/ul]

Chase heard the words Brent was saying, but it didn't mean he believed them. If he wanted Chase, then why did he keep kissing other people. Why did Chase have to be put through all the shit that Brent had put him though. Chase just wanted to be with Brent and not have to worry that when they weren't together that he would go and cheat on him. Yet the back of Chase's mind was telling himself that it didn't matter. That he would always forgive Brent.
Chase let him leave. It was what he told him to do after all. As soon as he heard the door slam, Chase fell to his knees and let the sobs break through. Chase felt like his heart had been ripped from his chest. he had been here, waiting for Brent, and he had been off making out with Aiden. Chase couldn't even begin to think about that. He didn't want the images in his brain.
Curling up in a ball on the ground, Chase let the tears fall down his face. He laid on his side and brought his knees to his chest. He didn't feel like moving. He just felt like crying at the moment. Things had been so good. Things had been going perfectly. Yet now it seemed like everything was falling apart. Chase felt like he was falling apart.
