? Teddy stared wide-eyed at Nathaniel for a few moments... princess-themed restaurants? That was a little worrying. Thankfully, Teddy soon remembered that Nathaniel had younger sisters which was a relief to him. Otherwise he really would be concerned. "I'm glad to say I've never been to a princess-themed restaurant in my life." Teddy half-smiled, "Nor do I intend to." Finally, they reached the café. "Here we are." Teddy exclaimed, holding the door open for Nathaniel.[/ul]

Teddy's laugh was really cute. Nathaniel really liked it, like, really, really liked it-- my-day-would-brighten-up-upon-hearing-your-laugh kind of like. But then again, maybe it was just the honeymoon phase talking. It was only their first date, after all.
"Well, you definitely have to tell me about some of your daring, auror-y ambush attempts and how you heroically rescued... well, whoever had to be saved. I always did have a thing for superheroes."
Nathaniel laughed when Teddy told him that he'd never been to a princess-themed restaurant. "You're very lucky, I have to say. I'm the only boy among my siblings-- and that's saying something, because I have three sisters-- and I'm at least, what, 10 years older. My parents claimed that I was too much trouble for them to even think of adopting another boy," Nathaniel grinned. He was basically telling Teddy all about his family on the first date, which was a little odd, he supposed, but whatever. "What if you have a daughter next time? You'll have to go to princess-themed restaurants, then."
Nathaniel blushed when Teddy held the door out for him. It was... really, unexpectedly gentlemanly and really, really cute.

"Younger siblings are great to have around. I mean, I'd have loved to have an elder brother-- I am pretty epic an elder brother-- but younger siblings... they really make your life happier, y'know? By being childish and stupid and all of that. They give you an excuse to be immature, and when people look at you, they just go 'oh, he's just entertaining his little sisters. What a nice boy.' It's really convenient." Nathaniel grinned. It was rather sad to hear that Teddy wasn't all that close with his kind-of family. "I'm not related to my parents, or my sisters, or anything. In fact, the only ones related are Amanda and Lisa, and that's because they insisted on being a package deal. Identical twins and all."
Teddy was really easy to talk to. Nathaniel didn't really feel self-conscious or awkward when he was talking to Teddy, even about his sisters and their preferred eating spots. Maybe this was what dates were supposed to be like. Most people who Nathaniel talked to about things like this found him a bit weird, which he was, but it wasn't very nice a feeling.
"Hm, what do you want to eat? Any recommendations?" Nathaniel smiled a little at Teddy. He still hadn't let go of his hand, which was really sweet (although it might be a little impractical if they were eating). Nathaniel actually really liked Teddy holding his hand. It was sweet. Teddy was sweet.

"Well, younger siblings can be a pain in the ass sometimes," Nathaniel laughed, shaking his head a little. "Just take Lisa for example. She's obsessed with all kinds of-- oh, yeah! She wants your autograph, I can't believe I almost forgot!" He scratched his head awkwardly. It was really odd to be asking for an autograph from his first-date-but-still boyfriend.
"Why didn't you want to be closer with the Potters and Weasleys? Harry Potter's, like, your... godfather, right?"
Nathaniel couldn't help but laugh when Teddy suggested they get tacos. "Yeah, okay then," he said, even though he'd never tried tacos before in his entire life. "It's my first taco experience, too. First the toffee popcorn, and now this!"

son." Teddy explained before letting out a sigh, "Sorry.. I.. this is meant to be a date not me whining about things." he apologised with a weak smile. "I'm sure you'll love them. Tacos are impossible not to love." he said, the smile returning to his face. Teddy would live off tacos if Andromeda let him.[/ul]

"Oh, yeah!" Nathaniel grinned and fumbled around in his bag-- yes, he had brought a bag, and it held important stuff and was so not gay even thoug hhe liked guys whatever-- and fished out Lisa's notebook. Which was pink, but what the heck. That was the reason why he'd brought the bag in the first place! Imagine a grown man carrying a bright pink book all across Muggle London. That would definitely attract some odd looks. "Here. I hope you don't mind," he chuckled. "There are some particularly pro-you fangirling moments in there. It's quite disturbing, but who am I to restrict a young girl from being a part of her fandom-who-happens-to-be-my-boyfriend?"
Nathaniel frowed a little when Teddy said that he felt like he was butting in. "Nah, blood doesn't really determine love, y'know? I'm sure that they all really love you, blood or no blood. Just look at my family. Lisa and Amanda are blood sisters, but everyone can tell that Amanda prefers being with anyone-in-the-family-other-than-Lisa. Mostly because of Lisa's incessant fangirling, but yeah. Blood doesn't determine love." Then he smiled again. "Nah, I like to hear you talk about yourself. And it's always good to talk about stuff like that once in a while. You can't just bottle it up forever, right? And I always figured that boyfriends were people who would help people through stuff like that."
"They're that epic? Well then, we'll definitely have to try some." Nat smiled a little. "So, should we order now?"

Nathaniel blushed in response to Teddy's smile. He was really sweet, and was being the perfect gentleman, what with the holding doors and ordering and being awesome and paying and everything. He'd brought some money, too, but the way Teddy was being all sweet and awesome was really great.
(plus, he might've forgotten to change the money, so it was pretty useless anyway. Nathaniel didn't think that Muggle shops accepted galleons and sickles.)
He grinned when he read Teddy's autograph. Lisa would love it, he could tell already. And then show it off to all her little friends, which would undoubtedly make them all jealous and want autographs of their own, too. Too bad that they weren't getting any. He loved his sister best, after all, and her friends... well, he didn't quite approve of them. But he wasn't going to say anything about it, anyway. They could be bitchy little girls for as long as they liked; as long as they didn't infect Lisa, he'd be fine.
"Thanks!" He laughed a little, smiling happily at Teddy and stuffing the book back into his bag. "I'm sure Lisa'll love it."
Nathaniel looked back up, and before he could help it, he said the first thing that came to his mind. "Your eyes are pretty." Then blushed even more, because that was so freaking cringe-worthy and embarrassing and he really hoped that Teddy had somehow not heard it. Curse his lack of a brain-to-mouth filter.

Nat was pretty sure he resembled a tomato covered in ketchup and maybe pink sprinkles when Teddy kissed him. Okay, so he hadn't been expecting that. What he had been expecting was for Teddy to laugh at him or something, because honestly, what he had said was so totally embarrassing and kind of made him want to hide in a hole for the rest of eternity, but noooo, here was Teddy Lupin, Auror extraordinaire, amazingly hot and ridiculously good kisser-- kissing him. Him! Nathaniel Wilson! Who just worked in a joke shop and handled noisy brats all day!
Merlin, he was so glad that he had gone on this date. Nathaniel relaxed into the kiss, kissing back and basically savouring the moment because hell, this moment was an epic one. Screw everything else. And the kiss lasted for a really awesomely long time, too, and Nat had absolutely no idea what ws going on outside.
Until the waiter had come, of course, carrying his tray of tacos and coughed to get both their attention. Nathaniel blushed even more (even though he hadn't thought it would be possible) and coughed awkwardly and was blushing like mad. Oh, Merlin. Awkward. Not that he regretted the epic kiss, of course, but... AWKWARDDDDD.

He sent the man a sheepish smile, still blushing. Well, that was just their luck. Still, at least they got tacos now, right? And it hadn't exactly been a short kiss. "Tacos!" Teddy chuckled quietly.[/ul]

"Er, yeah, thanks!" Nathaniel said to the waiter and took the tacos from him, still blushing furiously. Once the waiter left, Nat grinned at Teddy. He wasn't exactly a blushing virgin, after all, and it wasn't really the first time that he had been caught in a not-so-good-for-public position in public (although it was mostly just random sex with random people). And that had been a good kiss! It might have been better if they hadn't been interrupted, but it was a really good kiss. "Merlin, that was awkward," Nathaniel started, picking up his taco and taking a bite out of it.
Then he found it absolutely wonderful, and nommed even more. It was epic. "This is really good!" he said, or at least attempted to, what with all the... taco in his mouth.
