Call Me Hopeless, But Not Romantic [TEDDY]

After having had spent around 2 hours stressing out about the date, preparing himself (and his outfit, which took really long) and making sure that absolutely nothing would go wrong that night (sister-troubles included-- Lisa was given full permission to handle anything that went wrong, and Nathaniel figured that he'd just deal with everything else when he went back), Nathaniel was ready (definitely ready, and he looked very hot in his personal opinion) for his date with Teddy. In Muggle London. He'd even converted quite some Muggle money-- he had about $50 on his hands-- so that he'd be able to take Teddy out to a nice dinner and stuffsn

Also, $50 most certainly was not enough for them to get a hotel room, so that'd also make Nathaniel give up on propositioning Teddy later that night if he felt like he should. He didn't want to end up scaring Teddy off, after all. And this was most certainly the most serious date that Nathaniel had ever been on-- he'd never converted Muggle money for a date before, not once in his life-- so he most certainly didn't want to screw up and have it all blow up in his face.

Yeah, he also brought Lisa's notebook f/r Teddy to sign. It would serve as Lisa's payment for babysitting the other two little brats.

When Nathaniel reached Muggle London at the designated meeting point, however, he was... 15 minutes early. So now he had time to waste (ah, he blamed his nerves for everything-- why oh why did he set aside so much in-case-anything-goes-wrong-time?).

Well, there was nothing much that he could do, so he just sat down on a convenient bench and waited.

Nathaniel looked up when he heard Teddy stutter a(n absolutely adorable) 'hi'. Shit, he was blushing. That was so cute. Seeing Teddy blush made Nathaniel kinda-blush too, because... well. Because.

"Teddy! Er, hi. Hi. Wow. You look... really hot." Nathaniel blushed even more. The last part wasn't supposed to have had slipped out, but then again, it wasn't really Nathaniel's fault. He didn't have a brain-to-mouth filter after all, so... heh. "It seems like we're both early, haha. Well, I guess that'll just make it easier to get tickets for the movie... what movie would you like to watch? Muggle movies are fun to watch."

Natty grinned before continuing. "I've got no preference for the movie, but we should definitely go somewhere which lets us have popcorn. I like popcorn. It's one of the best creations ever."

[/i] knew Nathaniel, or was hoping to get to know him. "You too." he chuckled. That was true. Very, very true.

"Well, neither have I. I'll watch whatever." Teddy shrugged, his hazel eyes gleaming as he smiled widely at his date, "Toffee popcorn's the best though, you can't beat it."[/color][/ul]

"Toffee popcorn? I've never had that before. Usually I just stick to the normal sort. It sounds ridiculously good. How do those Muggles think of such awesome things?" Nathaniel grinned at Teddy. It was nice that Teddy wasn't opposed to Muggle things or whatever. Some people were still like that.

"Also, I know. That I'm hot, that is. I made sure! I'd be disappointed if you didn't think that I was hot. I spent really long preparing and stuff. Wait, do people usually tell their dates stuff like this? Shit." Nathaniel blushed a little before continuing. "I've never really been on a proper date before, because it's usually just sex for me... so I don't really know." He laughed nervously at the end, playing with his necklace. He was seriously messing up on this date, and basically letting his mouth say a bunch of stupid shit. Stupid mouth.

Teddy was really nice, though. Like, seriously, super nice and cute and awesome. Nahtaniel thought that it was a pretty good start to the date. "Well, I like action movies best, but I wouldn't mind a superhero movie. Those are fun. Oh, or one of those Disney things. They're really cute." His sisters' taste had kinda rubbed off on him, but whatever. It wasn't a bad thing to like Disney movies.

Nathaniel grinned. Teddy's smile was really cute and his sweet tooth was adorable-- it reminded him somewhat of a little kid, and he loved children, no matter how much he might bitch and whine about his sisters. "Well, I definitely will. But if it sucks, I'm blaming you," he added, sticking his tongue out at Teddy. It wasn't like his sisters were here or anything, so he reserved the right to be as childish as he wished.

Teddy was really nice, actually. Normally people wouldn't really like Nathaniel's let's-just-jump-into-bed-with-the-first-person-I-see! habits, but Teddy... well, he wasn't judging Nathaniel, and that was honestly good enough for him. "Well, I'll be trusting that you make sure I enjoy this date as much as possible. And that'll start with a good movie, right?" Nathaniel went to look at the list of the movies that were currently showing. "Which one do you want? I've been wanting to watch The Avengers, because it's like. A merger of superheroes and action? And my dads-- they went to watch it a couple of weeks ago-- they told me that it was really good. And, there's Robert Downey Jr. inside. RDJ is hot." Nathaniel had spent the better part of his childhood wasting away in his room, fanboying over celebrity crushes. Still did, actually, although he now did so much less.

(That would probably explain the old Jensen Ackles poster hidden in his room. Honestly, he was like a teenage girl when it came to things like that.)

OOC: Heh, I couldn't pick a movie, so I just went with the last movie that I watched. And then projected my fangirling a bit. Sorry. ^^"

[/i] adorable, Teddy had to admit it. "It doesn't. You must be mad not to like toffee popcorn, it's really good." Teddy stuck up for one of his all time favourite sweet treats. How some people on this earth could not like toffee popcorn, Teddy would never understand.

"Of course." Teddy nodded his head, the smile on his lips never faltering, not even for the slightest moment. He was definitely going to make sure he didn't say or do something completely idiotic. Teddy wanted this date to go as well as possible, he knew asking for the 'perfect' date would be a step too far. Nothing ever went perfectly, something Teddy learnt often from his job.

Dads? Teddy thought to himself. Then realised that Nathaniel had probably been adopted. Anyway, this film he'd suggested sounded like it would be pretty interesting. "Okay, The Avengers it is then." he chuckled.[/color][/ul]

Nathaniel squealed a little inwardly-- so he was a little girly when it came to romance, so what?-- when Teddy smiled at him. Merlin, Teddy was... freaking adorable. And nice. Really cute, too.

"Yay, The Avengers!" Nathaniel grinned at Teddy. He'd been worried for a moment that Teddy might not want to watch The Avengers, or hated superhero movies or something. Thankfully he didn't, because he really liked Teddy and didn't want to mess the date up just because he didn't really know how proper dates went. "I'll buy the tickets, you go buy the toffee popcorn, okay?"

With that, Nathaniel went off to buy the tickets for the movie. This date was turning out much better than he'd expected it to be, and he actually really wanted to do it again.

Nathaniel had fun. A lot of fun, especially because Teddy had grabbed his hand halfway and caused Nathaniel to blush madly (if anyone asked, it was because RDJ came onscreen that time and talked about being a billionairegeniusplayboyphilantrophist). His attention for the rest of the film had been split between the film and Teddy.

He felt a bit bad for being distracted during The Avengers (it was supposed to be a really good movie!) but, well, this was supposed to be a really good date. Which it was. And what was a date without a little theater hand-holding snuggling-kinda thing? At least, that's what the romance books told him.

Nat couldn't help but laugh when Teddy asked him about the toffee popcorn. It had been really good, it had, but truth be told, Nathaniel had been a little too preoccupied with the film/Teddy than to bother too much about the taste. "Yeah, it was great! Still hungry, though." Nathaniel grinned. "I was much too distracted by you holding my hand to be able to fully appreciate the taste of the popcorn."

Nathaniel blushed when Teddy gave his hand a light squeeze. He really liked the feeling of Teddy holding his hand, and the date, and everything. "Well, I guess there'll be plenty more opportunities to experience the taste of toffee popcorn with you," Nathaniel grinned. He didn't know if that was too obvious a hint that he wanted a second date, but screw subtlety. He was Nathaniel Wilson, damnit.

"Okay! Where do you want to go eat?" Nathaniel grinned. He really didn't want this date to end; he was having so much fun. "I chose the movie, so you should get to choose the place!"

Honestly, he didn't want to choose the place mostly because all the food-eating places around here were kiddy places, mostly for little girls.

Nathaniel beamed when Teddy replied that there would be another date. Teddy was great, and toffee popcorn was great. This date just kept getting better and better.

"Well then, I suppose that I know where to look for you if I want to ambush you for another date," Nathaniel grinned. Okay, so maybe that came out a little stalker-y, but it didn't sound that weird. "I haven't had food from non princess-themed restaurants in ages. This should be a really nice change." Perhaps that sounded a little odd, too, but Nathaniel mentioned his little sisters before... right? So it probably wouldn't sound all that strange.

He let Teddy lead him to the café, basically grinning all the way.
