Makar sighed as he walked around the somewhat unfamiliar city. Nevada... It was one of the places he didn't really visit often. Usually he just stayed in the Virginia, New York areas but he had come to Nevada with his parents for one of his dad's many business trips. It wasn't very often that he had the 'pleasure' of accompanying his parents on these things.
The teenager had left the hotel room he was at to get as far away from Vlad and Mina Germanotta as he could. It was even more awkward to be near his parent now that Gabbie had died. They had gotten over her death rather quickly. However, Makar hadn't.
"Those bitches never cared about Gabbie..." the brown haired boy spat out venemously, softening his voice slightly as he spoke his adopted sister's name. "Hell... They don't even care about me. All they care about is them, them, them. I don't even think they care about themselves. It's all about money, appearances. That's it..."

. He was still having trouble getting his head around the truth that had been hidden from him for so long. As much as Brent wanted to allow Chase or any of his friends come back here with him, he felt this was something he wanted to do by himself. A part of him felt uncomfortable with his new life and his old life mixing with each other. Maybe that was why he felt so strange being back home at last? "Makar?" he called out, as he turned a street corner and almost bumped into one of the students he knew from Hogwarts, "W-what are you doing out so late?"[/ul]

"Professor McKinney?" Makar's brown eyes widened a bit in shock but he quickly composed himself and put on a questioning face, hiding his grief and anger. "Nothing much. Just grabbing a quick breath of air... Why are you here?"
The air suddenly got slightly awkward for Makar as he wasn't really close with any of his teachers. It wasn't that he hated them (not all of them at the least) but it was just... strange. He kind of got into trouble a lot for his misbehaving in class and the teachers just treated him a bit differently when Gabbie died... Like they pitied him. Like they understood him and his actions.

"Okay then. I wasn't even going to ask." Makar gave his teacher a firm look, almost like a glare, that showed that he was serious. It wasn't like him to go and intrude on the business of teachers he wasn't even close with. "If you won't bother me about my life, I won't bother you about yours."
Makar then started walking again, drawing a hand to his brown hair, and turned up the music on his iPod. His music was his only companion when he was with his parents, whether it be at home or at a hotel. Recently, he had been relying more on his music for comfort than anything.
"Maybe I should check out when of... dad's stores." Makar mused to himself as he noticed a mall only a few blocks ahead. It was kind of hard to say anything that reminded him of Vlad or Mina Germanotta. "Hmm... And maybe get something to eat."

"Fine. Do you have any money on you?" Makar replied, not even bothering to remove his earphones. "If not, I can treat you. If you do, I'll probably have to treat you anyway cuz you won't have enough money. The only place open in that mall around this time is one of the richer club cafe things..."
He entered the prestigious mall, going straight for Phoenix Computer store. The computer company that Makar's father owned and built that was known all around the world. Being the son of Vlad Germanotta, he was always welcome in any of the stores and was allowed to use any of the computers of appliances in the store and could hang out there for as long as he wished.
"Makar Germanotta..." he told one of the employees before she had a chance to speak. She widened her eyes in surprise a little but gave a quick nod, telling him that he was welcome before going back to her work, giving him awed and somewhat nervous glances from time to time. "Really. I sometimes wish that they'd just stop giving me those looks. Anyway, when do you want to eat Professor? Just tell me and we'll go. I'm just here to check out this store for a bit."

"Then I guess we should go now then." Makar started making his way to the exit but then quickly remembered that he noticed his teacher eyeing the computers. He had hung out in his father's stores long enough to know the look of wanting and he saw that Brent wanted a computer, bad. "But if you want a computer you can go get one. Ohh... Do you want a computer? Tell me and I can give you one. Hey, could you get me one of the prototypes for the Monster Pegasus? Thank you."
Makar watched the lady who he asked to fetch the laptop scurry off and scurry back in carrying the computer in question. He gave a quick word of thanks and a grateful smile to her who, in response, gave a happy grin and go back to her job.
"Here you go, the Monster Pegasus. The first in the Monster series. This is only a prototype but it's pretty much just as good as the final product. The final version is supposed to be released tomorrow." Makar commented as he handed the box containing the prototype to Professor McKinney. "Well, since you have your computer, why don't we go eat now?"

. He was struggling to keep up really because suddenly Makar was asking someone for some prototype Peggy thingy computer. And then he had a computer. Just like that. The woman he'd asked for one had just... okay, Brent was now completely lost. "Woah, woah, woah." Brent finally said, putting his hands up in the air. "She.. just gave you some computer. Just like this. Bam. Computer. And now you're giving it to me?" He stared at Makar in a mixture of confusion and disbelief after glancing down at his new computer that he was carrying. "Are you insane? Do you always go around handing out free computers to random people?" he cried, thrusting the box back at Makar.[/ul]

"Uhh... Yeah. It's yours." Makar was just about to lead the way to the club cafe thing until he was stopped by the adult who, much to his annoyance, was shoving the computer in his face. "No and no. I'm not insane and, though I easily could, I do not just give computers to random strangers. You're my teacher who wants a computer. I'm a student who I can give you one."
Honestly, Makar knew that he probably should tell Brent McKinney that he was the son of the owner of Phoenix Co. but he didn't really feel like it. Besides, he also didn't like saying it unless people asked.
"Soo... Are we just going to stand here all night or are we going to eat?" Makar asked in a slightly annoyed voice. "I'm pretty hungry so I suggest that we eat. It's just a much better choice all together."

computer. And now that news had sunk in fully, Brent couldn't really bring himself to give a fuck about that fact it had been given to him by a student. "Thanks, however the hell you managed to get it so easily." he chuckled. Brent rolled his eyes at the sixth years. If the computer hadn't put him in such a good mood, he probably would've snapped at Makar for speaking to him like that but Makar was exceedingly lucky today. "Yeah, yeah, food it is." he rolled his eyes.[/ul]

"Good." he exited the electronics store and quickly looked for a place to eat. He quickly found it, an extremely fancy, member exclusive cafe. "And no need to thank me for the computer. It's nothing really."
He headed for the cafe, taking out his wallet and pulling out his membership card. He didn't go to this place often as his parents preferred another company but, personally, he liked this one the best. The prices were decent (for his standards) and they had pretty good food. Not to mention Makar loved their espressos and sometimes was allowed to have a shot of whiskey or rum in his drink.
"He's with me." Makar told the attendant who was giving Brent a suspicious look which quickly melted away when the teen spoke. This place members only and they were extremely strict about that.
"Mr. Germanotta, it's a pleasure to see you again." a waiter greeted Makar. He had gone here a few times and he was of important status so it was normal for at least one of the waiters to know him. "I'll have your regular spot prepared on the 2nd floor and I shall also bring up some menus."
"Thank you. Oh, and can you give me an espresso? You know what I like in it." Makar gave a nod to the waiter, climbed the wooden stairs and immediately went to a table with 2 armchairs by the window. Taking a seat, he flipped through the menu, wondering what to eat. "Professor, what d'you want to eat? You can get anything you want."

"You know we're not at school, right? You can swear in front of me. Like hell if I mind. Anyway, there are descriptions under the stuff so I'm sure you'll get what they are. Besides, you could just ask me if you still don't know what the dish is." Makar said, glancing at Brent from his menu. "Questions... Yes. Ask away... Average? Probably not. Hmm... I think I'll get a steak or something... Anyway, I'm the son of Vlad Germanotta. If you haven't heard of him then here. Read this."
Makar handed the adult a newspaper whose headlines said "The Monster Pegasus: Phoenix Co.'s new Release". The article underneath begun like this: "Vlad Germanotta, CEO and founder of Phoenix Companies is proud to release his company's new computer. The Monster Pegasus...."
"Hmm... Yeah. I'll have a steak and french fries. Medium-well, french fries on the side." Makar told the waiter his order who gave him his espresso spiked with whiskey. The teen gratefully took his drink and sipped it, smiling happily at the taste of alcohol and coffee. "What will you be having Professor?"
