Practice For the Gryff/Claw Game [Mack: OPEN]

Alex was smiling as she watched Stone fly away as fast as his broom can. But then again, she knew that she and Launrinda could simply catch up to him within seconds. owever she saw that he was reaching for his wand in his robes which was something no regular Captian would be keeping within their robes during quidditch practicie.

She quickly turned to Laurinda and called out, "He has his wand in his robes! Watch out Laurinda!" She said as flew the other way to cut off Stone somewhere. She was determined to get back at Stone one way or the other. "Come on Captain! Be a man! Take one hit for the team!!!" she called out as she flew a few feet across Stone. Alex saw a bludger coming her way and swatted it straight at Stone.

"Heads up, Stone!" she called out with an evil grin on her face. She was surelly enjoying every torturing second she was spending with Stone.

[Laurinda Lendon]

[/i] Lauri smirked, silently agreeing with the sly little voice in her head.

"A wand? Well, we have bludgers to break that wand, don't we?" Lauri replied to Alex, grinning as she hit another bludger, aiming for Mack's wand this time. Lauri now wished that she'd brought her own wand with her but she knew wishing was pointless. Her wand was back in her dormitory, safe from the dangerous game of Quidditch. Lauri thought that whilst having her wand with her now would be helpful, there was also a chance that it could get damaged or broken. Dilly would definitely not be happy if that happy, Lauri knew that her and her mother weren't exactly made from money.[/color][/ul]

[Mackenzie Stone]

Mack didn't know what to do. He heard their yells, warning him, but it wasn't like he could stop the bludgers. Well, not without his wand that he always kept with him. It was a good thing Mack had a temper and loved to always have his wand on him for these kind of purposes. It worked out for him.

Pointing his wand at the bludger Alex hit toward him, he cast a reducto curse. Blowing the bludger up. In the mitst of everything that was happening after he blew it up. He didn't notice that Laurinda had sent a second bludger, that one hit him. Before he could destroy it. Thankfully it only hit his hand, but he was pretty sure it broke his wand. He wasn't entirely sure because in the process of him trying to keep hold of his wand, he fell off his broom. He didn't know what to do. He knew they wouldn't help him. They knocked him off. Mack was doomed.

Alex saw Stone fall fromhis broom. She speeded up to him and caught him in her arms. She tried to shift him without loosing control of the broom. "Wow Stone. You know that I'm officially seeing Sutton yet you still fall for me... I'm falttered." she teased him as she slowed her broom down to make him sit behind her.

"Hold on to me,Mack. Your in for a wild ride, Knightly style." she said with a geniune and bright smileon her face. She zoomed across the pitch and swatted away the bludger that was heading back their way. The impact the bludger made with her bat sent it far across the pitch and headed for the forest. Then she slowly flew down to the stands.

She helped Mack down her broom like a gentleman helping a lady down a carriage but it was the opposite for them. Stillwith her warm smile, "You broke your wand. You shouldn't have carried it with you here." she told him softly. Who would have thought she could speak that warm and soft at all. "I'll asked the Head Mistress to firecall Oivander's for your new wand. My gift to you." she got on her broom and hovered a little above the stands.

Then she turned back to Mack and smile brightly, "Welcome to the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team, Captain Stone." her tone was warm and geniune. No hint of coldness or anything. Then she zoomed away and headed to Laurinda. She stopped a few feet away from her, "You make a good beater. Are you sure you wanna stay a chaser? You have a great future as a beater." she told her.

Alex wasn't lying. The younger girl can become greaterif she trained and practiced.

[/i] she thought to herself smugly. She hoped it would cause Mack some trouble to replace it or maybe he'd just tape it together and have to use it like that for the remainder of the year? That though made Lauri's smirk widen a little, if that was even possible.

Lauri stayed where she was as Mack fell, ready to blame Alex if Mack got seriously injured. She was surprised when Alex went to catch him though, she hadn't been expecting that to happen at all. Lauri stared at Alex, a little taken aback. "I'm perfectly happy being keeper, I do best in this position. I just had an off day today!" Lauri said, a hint of bitterness in her tone. She knew she needed to stop getting distracted.[/color][/ul]

[Mackenzie Stone]

Mack thought he was going to die. Literally. He thought he was going to fall to his doom as his fell to his death. But just as he was falling, he felt someone catch him. He almost though that Jacob had gotten on a broom and caught him, but that wasn't possible. Jake would never get on a broom. He would have never believe Alex had caught him, besides for the fact she was talking to him and it was clearly her.

"Alex?!" Mack called out, basically ignoring the sarcastic remark about her and Sutton. It wasn't like he did it on purpose. "Why did you catch me? And you'll arrange it for me to get a new wand? What?" Mack was a bit disoriented. He was so terrified he was going to die. Even as a Ravenclaw, he couldn't think straightly right now. Mack didn't even notice he was on the ground at first.

It took another second for him to register what she said. Even had to rethink it a couple times. "Uhh. Thanks? Is that all it takes? There aren't going to be anymore 'lets hit Mack' days at practice and stuff. Are there?" Mack didn't know why, but he was terrified of this girl. Of both of them. Near death experiences can do that to someone.

Alex just smiled. "But if you change your mind, just tell our captain. Thanks for being a beater for this practice." Alex told her. Then she flew back to Stone who looked like he was still in a daze.

"Are you still shocked from the fall or from my amazing flying skills. Not to mention my charm." Alex teased and giggled playfully. "And like I said, if you survived the practice, your back on my good side. No more 'Let's try to get the new captain to the hospital wing' plot. And yes again. I'll tell the head mistress to call Ollivander's for a new wand. It's my gift to you." she told him.

She flew closer to his face and smirked, "Are you alright now? You did literally fall... Add the muggle phrase "Catch me, I'm falling..." which I did, left you still dazed out. I hope your not going to fall for me, Stone. I am dating Sutton you know." she said with a smile.

[Mackenzie Stone]

Mack laughed at Alex when she came back over to him. She was just about as full of herself as Mack could be at times. He was just extremely glad to hear that she was done with trying to hurt him and would accept him as their captain. It meant a lot to Mack because Quidditch was important to him.

"Oh, your charm of course." Mack smirked his signature sideways one as he winked jokingly at her. It wasn't anything flirting wise, just Mack being himself and goofing off. Like he did most of the time.

"Thanks. For the wand. And you know. Catching me before I fell to my death. I appreciate it. Even though it was you that was trying to hit me off my broom. It's nice to know you didn't actually want to kill me.

"No worries about the falling for you thing. I do have a girlfriend, ya know." Mack smiled nicely but it faltered soon after. He didn't know if he was supposed to tell people about him and Dria yet. It was too late now if he wasn't. Well... she technically didn't know who.
