Lily pulled her dad all the way to the Quidditch pitch, thoroughly excited to be going back up in the air and soaring around the sky with her dad. She had missed Quidditch and quite often thought about trying to join the Gryffindor team. but it wouldn't be the same without her dad. He made the game fun.
"C'mon dad! We'll go get brooms from the shed then we can throw around a quaffle! She tried not to think about her dad leaving for some unknown place with unknown dangers. She hated thinking of him when he went on missions. She just got so scared.
They went in the shed and got some school brooms out. They weren't the best, but they would work perfectly fine. Lily didn't care as long as they flew and gave her precious time with her dad. It was all she asked for. And finally, she got that.

Harry tried his best to smile as Lily was doing her best to enjoy what little time they have together. He knew that it was unfair for her to know that her father would travel far away and be on a dangerous mission, more dangerous than all the old ones where. She had always tried to understand him.
And that is why Harry was so proud of her. That at a very young age, she would care enough to not worry when he tells her to. Though he knows she does worry when he leaves, he is just amazed that she wouldlook strong so that he would feel bad about leaving at all.
He nodded at her and followed her to the broomshed. When he saw the old brooms, he remembered the first time he actually held a broom. It was during their first flying lesson. Harry smiled at the memory. It was the same time that he was asked to be a seeker because McGonagall said so.
She must have seen him catch the remembrall that Malfoy threw and Harry flew to catch it. He would never forget it. Neville broke his arm back then when he fell. Things began to get stranger since he became seeker. And his life was never normal so everything just kept getting weirder and weirder.
"Are these brooms new? When were they bought?" he asked Lily. He would never allow his daughter to ride a broom that would bring harm to her. "Were these the same brooms from my time here? I hope not!" Harry thought to himself.

Lily bounced as she walked, so happy that she was with her dad. Not caring about anything else. She heard her dad ask her when the brooms were bought. She didn't really know. They were the same brooms from when she was a first year. Which wasn't too long ago. But people always told her the broom were ancient.
"I'm not sure, Daddy. I don't think they've bought new ones since you've been at school though. These are really old. They aren't made anymore. But they fly fine. Just a tad slower."
Lily's eyebrows burrowed as she wondered why her dad asked. He should know that the school rarely bought new brooms. Most students had their own anyways. It didn't really matter. Lily would have her own if she decided to play on the Quidditch team, but she couldn't do that.
"C'mon, dad. Lets go fly!" Lily smiled at him before grabbing a broom and mounting it. She took off in the sky and laughed at the wind blowing through her hair. She closed her eyes as she began to circle in the air. She really did miss it.

Harry was worried for his daughter. The broom might give up at any point and she might all and hurt herself. Good thing Harry pulled out his own broom from the magic bag he brought and flew towards Lily. He had to make sure she would be safe.
When he heard her laugh, it made him smile a bit. He ought to have fun. But if the broom she was in was old and fragile, he couldn't relax just yet. "Lily you know that all you have to do is ask and I shall buy you your own broom, right?" Harry asked out to her.
He watched her carefully, as if she was the snitched her was trying to catch. He didn't know if the brooms were from his time but he whenever time it was from, he was not relaxing. Not with his ONLY and MOST precious daughter flying ten to twenty feet off the ground.
"Lily please be careful, Princess. I don't know how long that broom your riding on will hold you. I'll personally talk to your headmistress and off to donate new brooms. I can't have you or any student ride ancient and museum worthy brooms." Harry addedwith a worried tone.

Lily didn't notice the different broom Harry was riding. She didn't care. She was just happy to be in the air. She rolled her eyes at her dad's discomfort of her on the school broom and his comment that he would buy her a broom if she wanted. Like she didn't know that.
"Of course I know that, daddy. But it's not like I'm on the Quidditch team. And these brooms are fine for the random times I fly!" She didn't bother telling him that was like never when she was at Hogwarts, and she used her dad's broom when she was at home. He had a couple.
"Dad!! You don't have to buy more brooms!!! These are fine! See?" Lily, in attempt to show her dad that the brooms were perfectly fine sped up and went a little higher. She circled a couple times before the broom gave a weird chug. She disregarded it and pressed forward but found that that was a mistake, the broom gave out, causing Lily to scream and come spiraling towards the ground.

"LILY!!!" Harry yelled as he zoomed off to catch her. Harry was really going tohave a sincere talk with the Headmistress! Just before Lily's head reached the groung, Harry was able to grabbed her waist and fly upwards once again. Harry held on to his daughter's waist tightly as he tried toland his broom on one of the nearest stands.
When he got down, he looked Lily over. "Are you alright, Princess? Are you hurt anywhere? Tell me if you feel pain! We'll head to St. Mungo's as soon as you say so." He was panicking. His daughter's life was as fragile as a glass. Now he was wondering if he could leave her alone. Where were his sons when he needed them?
Harry carefully mbraced Lily as he was trying to calm his heart down. "I told you to be careful." Harry spoke after a long silence. He was really worried and saw his life pass before his eyes as his daughter fell from her broom and headed to the ground. He could never live peacefully if anything happened to her.

Lily's hear was pounding hard against her chest. She didn't know what had happened, it just kind of happened really fast. She honestly didn't think the brooms were that bad. They seemed perfectly fine. She thought. Apparently not.
"Dad! I'm fine! I promise!" Lily tried to tell him, but she didn't know if he would accept it. He tended to worry a lot when it came to her safety. She understood why, but it still made her embarrassed.
"I'm sorry! I thought the broom would be fine!! Otherwise I wouldn't have!" Lily sighed sadly. She hated making her dad nervous like that. But she was happy he was here to save her. She didn't know what she would do without him.
"Thanks for saving me, Daddy. I'm sorry." Lily hugged her dad tightly. Thanking him through physical touch instead of just words.

Harry wanted to believe want his daughter told him, that she was alright. He pulled away and looked her straight in the eyes, "Daddy will always protect you, Princess. Remember that. Daddy loves you so much and won't allow anyone or anything to hurt you." He tightly hugged her again, still a bit shaking from what happened. If anything happened to Lily, Harry would go insane.
Harry smiled and just held on Lily as much as he could, "Next time daddy says it's not safe, you better believe me when I say it's not safe." Harry told her softly. "I would go insane if anything ever happened to you, Lily. Daddy will always protect you if you are in trouble. Even if I am far away, just call me and I will be there in a heart beat for you." he added.
Harry truly loved Lily above his boys. Maybe it was because she was the only girl, or because she was names after Harry's mother. There could be millions of reasons but no matter what it was, his love for his daughter was never going to change.

Lily hugged her dad tight. She hated making him worry about her, it was her that should worry about him. Not the other way around. He was the one that went off to different missions every day. The one who could die while at work any time he goes in and she would never know. Of course she knew he would protect her, but he had to be reasonable. He wouldn't be able to save her if she was about to get shot with the killing curse and he was across the country and didn't know. It wasn't possible.
None-the-less she smiled up at her dad and told him, "I'm fine, dad. I promise. And I know you'll always be there for me. It's why I love you so much." Lily squeezed her dad tighter, maybe in hope that he wouldn't leave her for as long as he was going to, maybe to show him that she was alright. She didn't really know. All she did was squeeze. Never wanting to let him go.

Harry merely smiled at Lily, knowing that she does love him. And because of that, he wasn't sure if he should keep working as an Auror. He knew that even if he stopped working, they'll never end up poor. Having three full vault of galleons in Gringotts was enough for him and his children. And Harry was sure that James and Albus would want to work for themselves one day. He would never tell them that they wouldn't need too.
He then turned to Lily, “I think we had enough of quidditch for one day. What else do you want to do today?” he asked her. He always asked her what she wanted. He knew that it was better that way. With Lily that is. She was the princess. He chuckled at the thought as he patted her head.
(sorry for the short reply... Couldn't think of anything else to write...)

Lily had expected her dad to tell her that they were done playing Quidditch for today, no matter how much she would protest. So she just gave in, accepting the fact that perhaps that little almost disaster was enough for tonight. Lily didn't really want to stop though, she missed it too much. She supposed she could try to play quidditch without her dad... but it didn't really seem right to her. Maybe she would talk to her dad about it. Now was as good a time as any...
"Daddy... I was thinking about trying out for the Quidditch team. They still need a Chaser and a seeker... I was thinking of going for one of those. But I... I don't know..."
Lily was nervous after she said it. She didn't want to explain to her dad why she didn't want to try out for the team right now. She didn't want him to know how shy she really was.

Harry's heart was torn. He was both happy and worried. First, he was glad that his daughter wanted to try out for the Gryffindor quidditch team, the very team he was on. But he was worried that she might get herself hurt. Quidditch was a rough game. That was what Fred and George said when he became the seeker during his first year. And it was true. Slytherin was the first team he faced when he became the seeker and he saw Oliver get hit by a bludge because of Marcus Flinch.
But then he remember that he was his and Ginny's daughter. She was bound to be good in the sport like them. She was good during their mock games at the Burrow with the Weasleys. Harry just had to accept that Lily needed to play for some reason and he knew she was going to tell him when she's ready. He sighed and faced her.
“Well, if you that's what you want to do, then go for it. I'll be cheering you on all the way. I'm sure your mother will be just as proud of you as I am. Your brothers, cousins and relatives as well. You've never disappoint us and quidditch is a game your good at. Having a seeker for parents, beaters for Uncles (Fred and George), and a Keeper (Ron), your bound to make us all proud, Lily.” he told her with confidence.

Lily laughed at her father when he finally spoke. She watched the emotions cross his face. He started with worry, then acceptance, then his thinking face. She thought it was funny that he probably cared more about the fact she could get hurt than the real issue she had with playing.
She knew she could play, she was raised by her brothers. She was taught not to react to pain, and tough it up. It's just what she did.
She didn't want to tell her dad why she didn't want to play right now... but she kind of had to at this point.
"Dad... I'm not worried about getting hurt or anything like that. It's just... Quidditch is something you and I do. It's our thing. I have a hard time picking up a broom without you." She decided just to tell him to truth. Mainly because he would know if she was lying.

Harry smiled at Lily. Yes, quidditch was something they do, together. A daddy and daughter thing. "I know you'll be alright, princess. Your brothers and cousins are here. They will protect you when I am away. But always remember, that I will be a heartbeat away when you need me. all you have to do is write." he told her.
Then he took his daughter's hand, "Come on, lets go back inside. The wind is getting colder now and I would like to see your brothers before I leave." he said as he led Lily ack into the castle. "I wonder why your brothers never came running to see me. I'm sure they must have heard I'm here from a teacher or some student. I am Harry Potter you know." he winked at her and chuckled.
Harry knew Lily would laugh. He knew that she knew he would never use him fame for any personal intentions or even for work. Though there were perks to being the saviour of the wizarding world, Harry knew used it at all. He just wasn't that type of guy.

Lily didn't think he dad understood what she was really saying.... That it wasn't that she was worried about getting hurt. Or that if her brothers would be there for her when she played. She didn't care about any of that. All she cared about was the fact that he wouldn't be there. That it wouldn't be the same without him. But she just ignored what she was thinking. Maybe she'd try playing when he left... just by herself at first. Work her way up to it.
Lily chuckled at her dad's lame joke. She knew he hated being famous, but that sometimes he really didn't have much choice to anything that happened. Such as what he just said. About how he was sure the entire school knew he was there. It was probably soooo true. She really did wonder where her brothers were. She wanted them to say hi to their dad before she left too.... but they were probably busy or something, she supposed.
"Maybe they'll stop by, or we'll run into them, daddy. I'm sure they want to see you!" Lily told him. Which maybe wasn't the complete truth. Her brothers could be a prat sometimes. "We could go play a game of chess or something in the common room. We might see them there or something. Or in the library." Lily didn't want her dad to leave. Although she knew he would have to sometime. She didn't know when.... but she was going to ask.
"When do you have to go, daddy?"
