[/i]. That was all Brent was good for really; turning every aspect of his life into a complete disaster. Not to mention letting other people get caught up in his own mess.

Maryn knew though, that she'd be more sympathetic later. Once the anger had faded but it didn't seem like it would to her.

She reached the door to Minna's classroom and knocked loudly before waiting to see if she was there. Maryn didn't say anything incase it made her sobbing even worse, she feared it would.

Minna was getting ready for another back breaking day of class. She had not seen Maryn for a while now and hoped that she was fine. She was shuffling papers in her table and was looking for the list of homework she was going to give out to her first class. "Why can't I find anything in this bloody table?" she asked out loud to herself.

It was just then that she heard a loud knock on the door. "Now who could that bloody be? It's barely half past six in the morning." she told herself. She wondered who it was. "It could be Chase Jackson... But what would he want this early?... Or it might be Redpaw... If it's him, he is in for one very cold morning..." she thought as she glared at the door as she was slowly making her way.

"I know it wouldn't be Blackwood or Brent McKinney... And I hope it is NOT Turner. Merlin knows the last thing I need is an awkward talk with the man..." she thought again as she grabbed hold of the doorknob and pulled to open it.

Maryn stood there with eyes that told the Slytherin Head she was just finished a session of crying but in the brink of other tearful hour. "Mary? What's wrong? What happened?" she asked instantly as Minna found her voice to speak.

Minna held Maryn close to her. Minna had prepared for this encounter after thetalk she hadwith Chase. She wasn't going to tell Maryn about the heart to heart chat with the guy though. It didn't seem worth it and it might make the situation worse than it already is.

"There, there... I knew that fool would do something foolish sooner or later... But not this." she said as she stroke Maryn's back as comfort. She neverpromised to not hurt Brent so after the crying session with Maryn, Minna was going to castrate Brent herself and hex him to Hades as punishment.

"No one hurts my best friend and gets away in one piece!" Minna thought to herself. She was going to get McKinney. "Just cry it out, Maryn. Let it all go... I know that you loved him and that forgetting him would be asking too much..." Minna began.

She pushed Maryn slightly away from her so that her friend could see her face, "However, remember who you are. You are Maryn Lovegood of Slytherin House. And you have me in case you decide to hex you now ex-husband to thedarkest pits of the inferno." she told Maryn with a smirk.

Yes, Minna would do anything if Maryn would seek revenge.

Minna smirked. Maryn was starting to be here old self again. "Yes, you are Maryn Lovegood of Slytherin. And when you've stopped crying and sobbing because of that stupid and filthy mudblood, we shall begin planning for you revenge. He won't walk away from this unscratched."

Minna remembered Chase and their talk but recalled that she never did promised to not hurt Brent. And she wasn't going to hurt Chase. She knew better than that. The other man didn't really do anything wrong. It was ALL Brent McKinney's fault. No one else.

"So, chin up, Maryn. No use crying over spilled milk now. It's good as finished. You'll find someone better." she told her best friend. And then she remembered telling Chase about Steven. Minna knew that she ought to tell Maryn as well.

"I've owled Steven and he seemed well. His married now. To a Marcus Smith. He must be someone Steven works with at the reserve. He said they've been married for a year now and that he was glad that I still remembered him." Minna's voice became strained because tears suddenly fell down her own eyes.

Minna smirked and swallowed her tears. She couldn't go soft now. Not now that she and Maryn have to extract revenge on a stupid mudblood who married her but swung the other way the moment he saw Chase Jackson.

Though Minna thought to herself, "Chase didn't reallydo anything so it's just Brent we have to aim at... But if Chase gets in the way, then the talk we had will be left out and everything willbe back the way it was before."

She recalled the heart to heart talk they had at the Staff Room and wondered whether chase would stand up against Minna and Maryn for Brent. "I'm surprised you even asked such a thing... Of course he will stand up to defend the stupid mudblood fromthe ex-wife and the ex-wife's best friend."

The thought made Minna waver a moment but knew that she had to do this, for Maryn. She turned to Maryn, "I'm sure as I'm from Slytherin that you were just as shocked as me when I found out Steven played for the other team. He seemed straight during Hogwarts. But it's been a decade and I might have pushed him that way... No tears will be shed from my eyes nor from yours."

Minna knew that they both had to be strong. "This means war." Minna spoke with her all evil smirk.

Just then, Minna remembered Chase. What was she going to do about the guy? Was he going to be a target just like Brent? Or can Maryn spare him? Minna knew how to find out but she wasn't going to be happy asking about it.

Minna looked at Maryn seriously, "Maryn, how about Chase? Will he be a target of your revenge as well as Brent?" she asked cautiously. The talk with Jackson indeed changed the way she saw the man and got a glimpse of what kind of friend Brent McKinney had been.

Truly, Chase didn't deserve to be punished but knowing him a litte, Minna was sure that Chase was going to protect Brent from them. And when that time came, she was going to be torn in the middle.

Minna wondered how she was going to tell Maryn that she didn't really want to hurt Chase. But she wasn't going to say it. She was planning to get out of the way when the revenge would actually start. Minna was growing soft. And she didn't like it all together.

Minna smiled at Maryn, "Of course I do. And we shall get them both. What do you have in mind?" she asked. All the while, Minna was thinking of Maryn's actions. She couldn't blame her for seeking reveng on McKinney. It was that idiot's fault in the first place. He knew that he was married and yet he entertained feelings from someone else.

"It's not like I disagree on what Brent did.. But he should have known better than to explore his sexual preference now that his married! Ugh! Why was he so stupid to actually do it? To a co-faculty of all people! Someone he sees everyday and works with his wife as well! Stupid Brent McKinney!!!"

Minna's mind ranted. To think that it was women who were supposed to be the ones who were perflexing.

Minna sighed and smiled, "I have ideas but I think it would be best that you think up what you should do to Brent. I'll take care of Chase. This is a battle between you and Brent. I'll be here when worse comes to worse that you would get hit." she smirked, "Which I doubt would happen since I know you can hex him to the next century if you wanted too." Minna told her.

Maryn was just as good as she was when it came to wand battles. Maryn was the follower and Minna was the leader, the game planner. But this time, Minna knew better than to dunk her head into a battle that she didn't belonged in. It wasn't right. And she did tell Chase that she would stay out. It was the only thing she could do so that Maryn and Brent would be the only people who would resolve the conflict and not make it any bigger.

The last thing Minna needed was a bigger problem. She had a lot on her hands already. She just couldn't take anymore of anything.
