Chase was so tired. No. That didn't even cover it. He was beyond tired. All he wanted to do was sleep, but that wasn't possible. He had to wake up, and he had classes to teach. That kind of thing. The boring kind of thing. Chase wanted Easter break to come back.
He had decided to venture into the staff room for his morning coffee. He didn't know where Brent was, but he knew he would probably be trying to get as much sleep as he possibly could. It was Brent.
After getting his coffee, he went and sat down on the couch with the paper that was delivered earlier and left on the table. He had about an hour to kill before his classes started. He faintly wondered if any other teachers would pop in the staff room. He hoped it wasn't someone he didn't like.

Vlad peeked into the Staff room and wondered if anyone was there. He didn't hear any sound so he thought it was safe to go in. He wasn't afraid of the other staff, he was just feeling a bit out of place since he was young in age. There was something about his age that made him feel that he didn't deserve the job that the Head Mistress gave him. He sighed and went it.
Despite hoping no one was inside, Chase Michael Jackson, Head of Gryffindor House was there, reading the paper and having coffee. He froze dead in his tracks just as he was through the door, in full view of Chase. He couldn't turn back now. He just had to make sure he wasn't noticed. The man looked busy.
He slowly tip toed behind Chase and reached the table where the coffee was. He would have used magic but he left his wand back in his quarters. He was too nervous lately. And because of thinking too much, Vlad tripped on the rug and fell face forward on the floor.
"Oh no! oofff!" he yelled before his face made contact with the Staff room floor.

Chase heard someone come in when he was sitting in the staff room. But he didn't bother to turn around to see who it was. He figured the person would make himself known sooner or later. Chase was right, of course, but not in the way he expected to be. He heard a huge thump and turned around to find Professor McArthur lying on the floor. Clearly he had just fallen down.
"Oh my god! Are you alright?" Chase exclaimed before setting his coffee and paper down in a hurry and rushing over to the man on the floor. He was fairly new and Chase hadn't talked to him before now. But had seen and heard of him. Besides knowing he was the Herbology professor, he didn't know much else. Now he was thinking that he was a bit on the clumsy side. But that was just a guess.
"Need a hand up?" Chase smirked at him. Figuring he'd have to bring his face up sometime and when he did, Chase's hand would be waiting for him to take.

Vlad groaned as his face hit the floor. Why did his clumsiness had to show itself now? He had his days when he would just be all absent-minded and lost. But he was mentally slapping and blaming himself why it had to be that very moment.
He looked up and saw Chase Jackson standing near him with a smile and his hand stretched out to him. Vlad smiled. He wasn't sure whether to take the hand but his hand moved before his mind could come up with a decision. "Thank you." he said as Vlad took Chase's hand and stood up.
"I'm sorry for disturbing you with my clumsiness. I'm just a bit nervous and all." he chuckled shyly. "I'm Vladimir McArthur. You must be Chase Michael Jackson, Gryffindor's Head of House. I'm the new Herbology professor." he introduced himself not remembering that he was still holding Chase's hand.
"I'm sorry for being to noisy. I've heard of you from the Head Mistress. Aside from you, I've met Slytherin's Head of House as well, Minna Theo-- Minna." Vlad said nervously. "Get a grip Vladimir! Your all over the place!" his mind screamed at him.

Chase could see that Vincent was quite nervous for some reason. He clearly hadn't heard of how relaxed Chase was about everything. Relaxed about life itself. It was his philosophy of like. Hanukah Matada!
"Don't worry about it. I wasn't doing anything important." Chase laughed as he let go to the hand Vincent had apparently forgotten about.
"Yep! Head of Gryffindor and Care of Magical Creatures professor here. Glad to have you at Hogwarts, Vincent." Chase smiled at him.
"Minna isn't that bad of a person to meet first here. Depending on which side of her you get on to start out with. I started off on the bad side. But we ended up not hating each other." He didn't think he needed to mention how it had taken them a good few years to do so. And really only just became halfway friends a couple days ago after she yelled at him for cheating with Brent. Good times.
"Most of us are really nice here."

Vlad wondered want Chase meant by what he said. "How many sides does a person have? Did it mean that the Minna I met was the nice one? Hmmm..." he thought to himself. Then he processed what Chase said and which name he used to call him.
"Call me Vladimir. I rather prefer my second name than my first." he said and smiled. "So aside from being Heads of Houses, you four have classes as well? Care of Magical Creatures wasn't my strongest subject back during my time but I wasn't that bad. I manage to avoid to get annoyed by cornish pixies." he told Chase.
"Your being a bit talkative now, Vlad. And you usually aren't a talkative person." his mind reminded him. Vladimir tried his best not to show that he was talking to himself again. "I'm sorry for being too talkative. I'm just a nervous wreck right now. I'm sure everyone is nice. I've met nice people so far. But I'm bound to meet one not so nice person sooner or later." he told Chase.
Vlad knew that in a castle of people, no matter how nice everyone is, there is always that one person who isn't as nice as everyone else is.

[blcokquote] Chase laughed at Vladimir. He was kind of funny in a way. All his nerves and stuff. It was comical, and Chase always enjoyed a good laugh. "Hey. Relax a bit. I'm really not mean. I'm actually probably one of the nicest people here. Not to brag or anything." Chase laughed at himself and was about to ask him if he could call him Vlad because Vladimir was too long before he felt something jump on his back. He knew before he spoke who it was.
"Morning, Boo. What are you doing up? And what are you doing being hyper? This is totally not like you until noon." Chase joked.
"Vlad, meet Brent. Brent, meet Vlad." Chase used Vlad anyways. He figured if the dude didn't like it, he'd tell him. "He's a little bit of a wacko at times." Chase joked as he looked over his shoulder to smirk at his boyfriend. [/blockquote]

Vladimir was trying to hide his shock as he watched Brent McKinney act all hyper and Chase Jackson trying to calm him down. He knew at first glance that they had a thing together but was trying to act as if it was just pure friendship. Vlad smiled politely.
"He just seems happy and vibrant, that's all." he said and turned to smiled at Brent. "Hello Brent McKinney, I'm Vincent Vladimir McArthur, Vlad for short." he introduced himself and bowed. He was more confident now than he was earlier.
"That makes four people now. You both seem close. Have you known each other long?" he asked, not sounding too inquisitive. He was simply curious. He met two women and two men now. And one woman seemed to catch his attention simply because she was young like him.
"May I ask you both some questions?" he asked with a warm smile. There was no harm in asking and they might think that he just wanted to know more of the other staffs as well.

there was only one word Brent could think of to describe Vlad's choice of words. "Hah, that's the gayest thing I've heard in a while!" he laughed loudly then having to cling onto Chase tighter as the laughter increased as Vlad bowed and spoke again. "Anyway, nice to meet you and all that..." he said once he'd finishing laughing at the newbie. There went Brent again with his 'natural charm'. "Well, we met like twenty years ago and we've been bestest buddies ever since." Brent beamed, glancing at Chase before looking back at Vlad again, "But then we realised we were both too sexy for our own good..." he trailed off. Then, doing his very best impression of a teenage girl, Brent leant forwards over Chase's shoulder and whispered to Vlad comically, "He's my boyfriend!" There, Vlad was now the first person to hear about Brent and Chase's new relationship. There was no point in hiding it now, was there? Brent shrugged, "I guess..."[/ul]

Chase didn't seem to be able to stop smiling. It was kind of like that whenever he was near Brent at all. He loved Brent. He loved how unpredictable his emotions were, and how funny he was just to be around.
"Yes. Of course you're allowed. Are you normally? No...." Chase laughed. He wasn't complaining; he loved hyper Brent. He loved any Brent.
Chase just rolled his eyes at Brent's comment about him being a vampire. That actually would be insanely cool. Chase was obsessed with those kinds of things. And animals. Definitely animals.
"It wasn't my faullttt!" Chase whined at Brent for bringing that up. "I didn't know it would make me hyper like that!" Darn muggle drinks.
He got a little nervous when Vlad asked about their relationship. Chase didn't know if they were going public with it yet or not. He was surprised when Brent looked at him, and then said in a Brent way that Chase was his boyfriend. It made Chase proud. "What he said. But less girly." Chase laughed at Brent. Neither one of them was the girly type really. But Brent was probably more it. What with his constant fuss over his hair and looks.
"It's a good think you're so light." Chase said as he readjusted Brent on his back and grabbed his thighs to hold onto him better.
"Sure. You can ask us questions. We'll answer them. If we know the answer of course." Chase smiled at Vlad, trying to be as friendly as possible.

Vlad's eyes turn from warm and shy to serious and spaced out. "You both are gay and are in a relationship yet you haven't told anyone else. Maryn Lovegood, your ex-wife and her best friend Willhellminna Theoreux know about you both." he said.
"You weren't sure about how you felt for Chase yet after seeing him again stabilized your thoughts and feelings and accepted the fact that you indeed love him." he looked at Brent with his spaced out look then turned to Chase.
"You have been in love with Brent since you were students. You didn't want to ruin whatever friendship you had with him so you stuck by him as the loyal best friend. You have always loved him and would defend him even if it means giving your own life for him." he said.
Vlad was in his all-knowing mode again. He couldn't control it. It happens at random. His brother told him that he spaced out on a few occasions and began saying info's about the people he was talking too which freaked them out big time. But Vlad could never recall them at all.
Then after a few minutes, he snapped out of his spacing then a shy smile came back to his face. "I was just wondering if you guys have any idea how to get around this castle without bumping into the other staff that are rumored to be cold and unfriendly. By the way, who are the unfriendly ones? I don't think I would have the courage to stand in front of them and talk. I might actually faint or run away." he said shyly and chuckled, hiding his embarrassment.

about them. "Yeah, yeah. At least it won't happen again..." Brent said in a low voice, looking straight at Chase with a mischievous glint in his eyes that suggested otherwise. Brent couldn't help it. A hyper Chase was just too funny to go without. Brent tilted his head slightly and smirked as he whispered into Chase's ear, "I can still strangle you to death though." He had to suppress the overwhelming urge he felt to start laughing like an mad, evil genius. Completely freaked out by Vlad's funny five minutes, Brent stared at Vlad, frowning deeply. "Do you know what you are?" Brent asked coldly after a few moments of awkward silence, "You're a fucking weirdo, that's what!" Brent could talk, running in here, randomly jumping on Chase's back and acting like a complete retard. He didn't start bringing up personal things with strangers. Yeah, he'd been okay with telling Vlad a very brief history of him and Chase but the shit Vlad had just come out with had made him feel uncomfortable and Brent's hyper mood was rapidly deteriorating into a much darker one. Brent was now point blank refusing to say another word to Vlad and rested his chin on Chase's shoulder then glared across at the man stood opposite him with as much venom as he could manage. He looked so intimidating in this position...[/ul]

Chase listened to what Vlad was saying about them. It was rather... freaky. He didn't know how the fuck that dude knew about their entire lives basically. And so well too... Everything Vlad said about Chase was completely true. He would do anything for Brent. Even if it meant giving up his own life. I was scary how accurate that dude was.
"How... how do you know all that stuff." He asked nervously. He almost didn't want to know. Was this dude some kind of weird ass freak? Was he just... that weird? Everyone was weird in the wizarding world, but Chase hadn't come across anyone like that before.
"Uh. There really isn't a way to avoid them completely. They won't bite your heads off or anything. Most are really nice." Chase smiled as much as he could. He was still kind freaked out.
Chase had smirked when Brent whispered in his ear that he could strangle him to death. It was amusing how much Brent would try to threaten him, yet Chase knew he would never hurt Chase in any way. It was adorable even.
He was about to respond to that comment when he was interrupted by Brent's comment to Vlad's weirdness. Brent may have acted badly... "Brent! Be nice... " Chase knew that Vlad seemed like a freak right now, and probably said too much about Brent for him to be comfortable, but that didn't matter. Vlad was new... Brent should be nice. Or... not Brentish around him. Chase would so be giving Brent 'a look' if he could look at Brent right now.

Vlad whimpered as he took a step back. He was trying to remain calm. "I must have done it again." Vlad thought. "Where is Ethan when you need him?" he mentally screamed at himself. Then Brent's words hit Vlad like a ton of bricks.
"Do you know what you are?" Brent's asked coldly after a few moments of the awkward silence that followed, "You're a fucking weirdo, that's what!" Vlad's mind recalled every word Brent said. "You're a fucking weirdo... fucking weirdo... weirdo..." Brent's voice kept ringing in his ear.
Vlad curled into a ball on the floor and tried to console himself, still whimpering. "I'm not... I'm not... I'm not a weirdo... I'm not..." he whispered to himself. He didn't notice but bitter tears began to fall from his eyes.
He suddenly remembered what Ethan told him before, "Vlad, you must never be close to people. You can't control that spacing out thing that you do. It would be better for you and the rest. I'm just worried for you, brother." Ethan's words resounded in Vlad's head.
He was trying to block out all negative thoughts.
