" Brent whined as he felt Murph's hand in his hair, messing it up. Luckily Brent wasn't going to slap him though, he was his best friend and no one else was around here. Brent would easily be able to fix his hair again before he left. Or he could make Murph fix it instead since he was the one who had messed it up in the first place. "I was thinking more they go crazy 'cause I'm so irritating more than them being charmed. And I totally do not do either of them purposely... okay, apart from irritating people. A lot of the time I guess that's done for one reason or another." Brent laughed awkwardly, his cheeks darkening at Murph's words. This could win an award for one of the most awkward conversations he's ever had. "Okay, okay, fine. I know it must have been hard trying to tell me, I get it." he sighed, an apologetic frown on his face as he looked up at Murph.[/ul]

Aiden couldn't help but smile at Brent. He was just so damn adorable the way he was pouting. "You know, you shouldn't pout on me. I'd hate seeing such an ugly pout on your gorgeous face, Bren." he told him as he messed Brent's hair once more. It was just fun doing it.
"You know, you are charming in your own way. If people don't see it then its their lost. Your a great person to have around and I am glad that I finally found you after so long, Bren-bren." he told Brent as he pulled the smaller man into a hug. Aiden just wanted to seize the moment he has with Brent.
"You don;t have to think about the past now. Let's leave it at the past and just focus on the now. I'm just glad to have you back. That's all that I really care about now. Nothing else." Aiden told Brent as he softly stroke Brent's hair. "i have definitely missed you more that you can possibly imagine." he added.

... please..." he groaned, hiding his face in his hands as he spoke but didn't bother to bat Murph's hand away from his hair. Brent's face heated up more. Was it even possible to blush this much? He hid his face in Murph's neck, something he often did to Chase whenever he was embarrassed or tired. "Yeah, thanks." he mumbled, feeling stupid, "I'm glad too, Murphster-Poo." He stayed where he was, face still hidden, and smiled the tiniest bit. "Missed you too, obviously." he chuckled quietly, "We seem to have a load of lost time to make up for, right?"[/ul]

Aiden just laughed heartily as Brent blushed scarlet. it was a sight to behold. Then he just steadily held Brent, not moving as Brent hid his face from him. Aiden wanted time to stop then. Holding Brent that close was one of the things he had always wanted since the beginning. And now he was holding him that way.
"Yeah, we have a lot to make up for. And you still give people horrible nicknames." he added the last part before hugging Brent tighter. He softly chuckled as Brent seconded what Aiden just said earlier. "Let's just be happy that we have each other again. I'm already happy to have seen you again after so long." he said.
"And yeah, I am your best friend but that doesn't mean I would stop loving and caring for you. That won't chance anything, Brent. Even if your happy with someone else, I'll be here for you still. Helping you when you need my help and just be here for you silently." he said with a smile. Aiden was contented for now.

he thought to himself. "Everyone loves the nicknames I give them!" Brent chuckled in his defence. Which perhaps wasn't strictly true but... whatever. Like Brent would ever admit that. "Yeah, same here. Obviously." he grinned, snuggling into Murph as he held him tighter. "Thanks, I'll always be here for you too. Whenever you need me just send me a patronus or something and I'll come and find you." Brent smiled up at Murph.[/ul]

Aiden simply laughed, "If you say they love your nicknames, I won't argue. but doesn't mean I believe it." he teased Brent once again. Holding Brent close felt relaxing and was calming Aiden. Brent's presence around Aiden hasn't changed since the first day Aiden met him many years ago.
"My patronus might shock you when you first see it. But I don't even know why it's the way it is. But my dad said that even his father, my grandfather had the same form i have now. Even my animagus form is the same as my patronus." Aiden told Brent. He didn't want his friend to freak out when a white spirit like snake comes to him with a message one day.
"But then again, it hasn't bothered me since I was able to summon a proper patronus when my dad taught me. Mum was really patient and very calm whenever she heard me cast the spell to get my dad's attention when I was able to do magic anytime." Aiden added as he recalled a few memories of his blurry past.

Aiden just smiled. "You might as well know, my patronus and animagus form is a snake. I don't know why but it's what it is." he told Brent then smiled again. Aiden smiled as Brent complimented him.
"I'm not one of the best people you speak of... Not really. I simply tried my best so that when I face you again, I have something to tell you and that I can make you be proud of me even if I didn't go to a regular wizarding school like you and the rest of the people in this place." he said and sighed. He was being depressed again.
"And besides, between you and me, the only way for me to be at least half the man I can be is do something that can at least make me say that I tried everything just to make you be proud of me." he added.

Aiden knew of Hogwarts. He knew of the houses. And he knew that Brent was probably right. But then again, "A half blood in Slytherin?" Aiden laughed. "That's going to be something new. Most of the half blood's are either in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw. My dad said so." he told Brent.
Aiden knew that if he was pure blood, he was going to be sorted into Slytherin. Even his parents said so. His mother knew that he was a different kind of snake. The one that actually cares for other people and loves greatly without asking for anything is return. however, as Aiden grew older, he knew that he was far from the snake his mother had thought he was.
"Well, you can't really blame me, you know. After not seeing you for so long and just talking to you through owl, I thought that I had to at least show that even if I didn't go to a normal wizarding school like every wizard should, I can still be in the same level as the ones that did." he said and sighed. He knew Brent wouldn't be able to understand.

Aiden just had to laugh, "Your making the former Dark Lord as an example of a half blood Slytherin. Not really appealing right now, Brent." Aiden teased as he looked at Brent. "Do you know how many times I've dream of talking to you again, just laughing and being the old us. It had been far too long for me to have been this close to you." he added as he hugged Brent.
Aiden wanted to enjoy what little time alone he had with Brent. Because after this, Brent was going back to the castle where Chase is and spend the night together. Aiden brushed away the thought. He didn't want to think about anything else right now.
"Did you know? That before I met you, I was the smartest kid in our block? No one could rival my knowledge and wit." he began to tell a tale. "But when you came and when I met you, I've lost whatever knowledge I showed off and became down right stupid whenever I was with you. But I didn't care then. And I still don't care until now."
"Being with you was enough for me, until now."Aiden didn't sob but tears where falling down from his eyes. Damn human tear docks. But then again, if it was Brent, he'd probably cry a thousand gallons if Aiden ever lost him.

Aiden smiled despite the tears and just pulled Brent into a tight hug. "Don't feel that way, Brent. I'd never forgive myself if I ever make you feel miserable because of me. I want you happy and full of life like you always have been." he told Brent without looking at his face.
Aiden kissed Brent's head and buried his face in the other man's hair. "That's why I have always loved you. You make me smile even without doing anything. Just knowing that your next to me, it already makes me happy." he added as he stroke Brent's hair.
"Even if you can't be next to me in that way, I prefer having you with me as my best friend than not having you with me at all." Aiden said as he pulled Brent away and kissed his forehead and smiled.

seeing Murph like this. It broke his heart. Murph would be worse though. Brent had broken his heart. Brent let out a sigh. Well, McKinney, congratulations on making yourself feel even worse. said a venomous voice in his head. He let Murph kiss his head, bury his face in his hair, hold him close. Maybe he shouldn't. Maybe he would give Murph the wrong impression by not pushing him away and tell him his was close to crossing the line. Brent couldn't bring himself to do it. When it came to dogs, Murph or Chase, he was just a big softie. "Good." he smiled back at Murph as he pulled back a little.[/ul]
