Aiden was glad that Brent stayed perfectly still. He was just basking in the moment that he could hold Brent that close to him. Aiden knew that when Brent left, he was going to be in the arms of the man Brent was going out with. And because of that, Aiden tried harder to calm his anger down.
"I'll try to be as happy for you as much as I can. I won't promise that I'll be happy all the time, but I will try. Since it's you who's asking." he told Brent as he ruffled Brent's hair and laughed. He missed just laughing about with Brent.
"So, anything else I should know about you?" he asked Brent as he placed Brent down next to him. He hoped Brent wouldn't ask him how his life was. Even Aiden was having a hard time dealing with his life back in America.

Aiden was shocked to have heard that Brent's parents had died. "I'm sorry to hear their dead, Brent. I can remember than calling you from the park entrance and telling you to come home after an afternoon of playing outside." he said as he slowly fixed Brent's hair with his hands. But then he was shocked once again to hear about the second news.
"You have a brother? That is... something... How old is he? And where is he now?" he asked as he looked at Brent with curiosity. He didn't dwell on the fact that Brent married and woman then cheated on her with Chase. Aiden could care less if Brent killed the woman but for some reason he was going to find out who the woman was.
Aiden knew that the woman might harbor anger towards Chase for destroying her marriage and that was something Aiden could use to his advantage. Then he lost his smile. Brent had asked about him and what had happened to him. Aiden wondered if he was going to tell Brent the truth or not. No, Aiden was going to lie.
"Nothing much really. Went to a muggle university, finished college, told my parents I was coming here. They seemed to agree that I need to go about on my own." he said with a smile. No, his parents didn't agree with him. He had to leave during the night so that they would know where he was going. They weren't pleased to hear that Aiden chose to love men instead of women.
After Brent left, Aiden and his family went from being an average type to a well-off family. His dad had been promoted and they moved to a bigger house and had a better life. But then Aiden was still lonely because Brent was far away.

"I think you should take time to get to know the little boy. He needs someone to look after him. He needs a family." Aiden comforted Brent. "Besides, being you will be enough. He'll learn a lot from Brent McKinney. I know that well enough." he added.
Aiden didn't falter this time. He kept his smile, "Of course they did. What makes you think they didn't? Besides, they knew me well and that they even said that I will be able to do well on my own." he told Brent as he tilted his head a little and kept smiling. It was a lie. Aiden's father was furious when Aiden told them his plans of looking for Brent. They had known for quite some time about his sexual preference and didn't approve of it.
"They even told me to say hi to you when I see you again. But I'm not going back home just because I saw you again. I'm living on my own now and I want to show my fa-dad that I can do well on my own." he added. Aiden almost said 'father' which he knew Brent would wonder why Aiden would call his dad 'father' unless the status has changed and they were no longer just average.
"Anyway, dad and mum were just glad that I was making my own decisions now and that I'm living my life the way I see it fit." he told Brent.

Aiden thought that Brent would just drop it, but he didn't. He lost his smile and sighed. "Fine then, just after you left, father's muggle job gave him a huge raise which brought our family out of the average life it had been in and we moved to a bigger home and had a better life. Well, better for the rest of the family that is. It wasn't the same. I had a younger sister and younger brother not too long after the move and my parents were just thrilled by it." Aiden began to tell Brent in a cold voice that Aiden had tried not to use since he got to London.
He sat up right and crossed his arms, "As I grew older, my parent's expectations became harder and damn near impossible for someone normal but they knew I was different so I had to do everything they told me to. I finished well during school, with no one near to be compared. I was perfect and even teacher's would seek my counsel for their plans for other students. I was no longer a student in their eyes. I was beyond that."
"however, I finished way ahead of my age and began to work for my father. Everything was going well but I was never happy. I kept thinking of you and how to find you. But I never had the chance because my family kept stopping me. I told them I wanted to come here to look for you but father was far from being happy. He and mother had plans to marry me off to someone who I haven't even met and I for one won't marry a woman just because my family tells me to." he said with conviction.
"I left one night and came here on my own. Without turning back, I left America." Aiden ended with a cold look in his face and eyes.

Aiden didn't move. His cold side was getting the better of him and there was little Aiden could do. He stood up and leaned on the edge of his table, looking cool but cold. "If I told you through my letters, what would you have done, Brent? Would you have come to rescue me away from my family? Even if I told you, it wouldn't have made me feel any better that you knew what I was going through." he said coldly and in a scary way. Aiden's eyes turned dark and looked like a deep dark hole.
Then he face palmed himself. He hated himself. He had grown cold because of his family. He had been cold after Brent left and Aiden never really had any friends after that. No one could understand how hard it was to have the kind of family he had. It was a horrible childhood any there was nothing he could do to change his past.
"Yes, it was horrible..." he sighed and sat on the floor, hugging his legs. "I-... I'm sorry for being not me, Brent... It was... hard... Being alone while growing up... Only having expectations and being placed on a high pedestal shaped my entire adolescent years. I had been turned from a human to a robot." he said with teary eyes again. He hated his life.

"I'm sorry... You weren't supposed to see that side... That's what they turned me into, Brent. A cold and empty shell of a person you used to know." he said as he just sat there, still and not moving. Aiden was too ashamed of himself to look at Brent. He had swore to never let the monster in him out when he found Brent. But since Brent had dug down, Aiden's monster found a hole to escape.
He remained so still that it was like he wasn't breathing at all. How was he going to just forget his past? He was raised with an iron fist and because of such a childhood, Aiden was having a hard time to just let go and forget. his family created a monster. And Aiden was left to tame the monster inside him.

[/i] Murph... but he was acting so differently. Then again, this probably wasn't different at all for Murph even if it was for Brent. They hadn't seen each other in years, they'd both changed an awful lot during the time they'd being apart. Just communicating through letters hadn't been enough for either of them to see the how much the other had changed. It was a whole lot easier to tell lies when they were written down on a piece of parchment. "You're still here, even if there's a different part of you. I can get rid of that if you give me a little time." he whispered sincerely, giving Murph's shoulder a gentle squeeze. "I will always be here for you."[/color][/ul]

Aiden didn't know whether to be happy or sad. Brent did offer to help fix Aiden but how long will Brent stand beside Aiden when Brent had Chase waiting for him? Aiden sighed and buried his face in Brent's chest. If it were possible to just drop dead right then and there, Aiden would have done so.
"Brent... You don't have to... I don't deserve you sympathy... I'm a monster and you shouldn't be near monsters. I don't want you to get hurt... I know my family will come after me sooner or later when they find out where I am... And they might come after you too.." Aiden looked up and cupped Brent's face.
"The last thing I would want is for you to get caught in the cross fire between me and my family.... They are no longer the same people you remember when you left America many years ago... Greed and the hunger for power has corrupted them." Aiden told Brent seriously.

Aiden wanted to laugh but instead he chuckled softly, "Don't worry Brent. I won't kiss you even if its what I wish I could do to you." Aiden said and pulled away. "I know you care about me but you have to keep in mind that father and mother will do almost everything just to get me back. I am their on chance for their fortune to keep on growing, you know." Aiden told them.
Then, he stood up and leaned on his table. Aiden smirked at Brent as he crossed his arms across his chest, "You know, you looked so adorable when you bit your lip. It was as if you where torn between wanting to kiss me or stay away." he told Brent, knowing that it was going to make the smaller man blush deep scarlet.
