Alex flapped his hands by his ears. People were raising their voices. Not good. It was stressing him out. This was all going too far, getting out of hand. Why couldn't Chase and Brent just understand that it felt like it was too soon to tell anyone? They seemed like they were too proud to accept it or something. And what had Brent just said? For them to get the fuck out of his house? Eye twitch. "Callense ya!!" Alex shrieked bringing his hand to his head. At some point the serving spoon had been replaced by his ebony wand. "You guys just.... Shut. Up!!" He was shaking. Angry. Pissed off at how this was all going. He was furious enough to hex into silence anyone who said anything to interrupt him now. "Why can't you just be glad? Like normal friends?" Alex hissed, matching Brent's icy tone. "I've never ever had anything like what I've got now. You two know that fucking well. I thought I'd never have anyone like Reid. I thought I'd never like anyone this way after Cha--" Mierda. The spaniard cut himself short. He had never told anyone that little bit about himself... His old crush on Chase. It had been years ago, sure, but seeing him flit over to Brent had broke him. That had been when the late nights and the guys had started. Alex pushed away from the table, his eyes narrowed, staring at the pasta the whole time. He didn't dare look at either of them. Alex turned on his heel and made for the hallway. "Espero que se atraganten." Alex hissed maliciously under his breath, out of earshot for most.

Honestly, what Reid said wasn't helping their case. It just made Chase even more pissed off to be honest, but this time he let Brent talk. Thinking that what he said was fine... until he said to get out of his house. Chase didn't want it to escalade that far. Even though Reid had no reason to say what he had said. It wasn't right. He knew the situation, he shouldn't have said anything about it.
Chase knew he should have just calmed down, but some of the things he had said just pissed him off. Brent too, apparently. Chase grabbed hold of Brents shirt around his stomach and pulled him closer. It wasn't an angry movement, more a desperate one. He couldn't let the four of them fight like this. He didn't know what good it would do, but it was worth a shot right? "Brent... let's just try to calm down. I know you're mad. I'm mad too. But they're still our best friends. You can't just kick them out."
Chase wasn't really paying attention to what Alex was saying, he was focusing on Brent and how he was going to calm him down enough to at least act like he was fine, which wasn't going to happen with Brent. But when Chase heard his name almost spoken, and the sentence in which it was spoken in, his neck snapped around. "Wh-what did you just say?"

Reid wasn't going to lie, seeing Alex like this was scary. He wasn't sure when Alex's wand appeared but he really didn't want anyone getting hexed. He wasn't happy with what Brent said either but he didn't think a wand was a way to solve this. It was all getting out of hand, and while he knew that he had a part in it, he wanted it to stop.
He walked over to Alex, catching him before he could leave the room. He didn't know how to fix all this but leaving when they were all pissed off was not the way to do it. He turned him around so they were facing each other. He caught his face in his hands and looked into his eyes. "Jay, don't leave. That won't fix anything okay. I'm mad too but I don't want to lose our friends. Can you calm down a bit so that we can at least leave on decent terms? I promise, I'll be right here."
He turned to the others. "Can we all just calm down enough to talk like civilized men? Brent, I'm sorry. What I said was uncalled for. I just lashed out. I'm sorry, please forgive me." It was a start, or at least, so he hoped.

Alexander squirmed about in Reid's arms, snapping his head away when he tried to make him look at him. Alex just wanted to leave. He knew where he was wanted and where he wasn't. And, here, he most definitely wasn't. "Doesn't matter, Chase." Alex grumbled, slowly beginning to stop writhing about to get away. "I'm not allowed feelings. Like right now." He narrowed his eyes to slits when he looked at Brent. He really did want them out of their house. That man was a real, spoilt brat. He had heard something that he didn't like and now he was throwing a hissy fit. "Oh, what is it that McKinney wants now? Better go running to please him. Would you like me to end it with Reid, is that it? You piss me off so much. I told you on the fucking tower the other fucking day how bloody shitty I felt being alone." Alex hated swearing in English. But it just proved how ticked off he was. Alex wrenched himself from Reid's grip and began to storm away, his face like thunder. "Don't worry, McKinney, I'm going. Won't bother you with our happiness any longer." Alex gave the door a kick open with his foot for good measure but before walking through, he quickly turned around with his wand at the ready. "Go order a fucking pizza." Alex hissed, making the casserole dish stick to the ceiling upside down, defying gravity as not a single piece of the food fell. It'd be there for a while with how Alex's temper was.

Chase just glared at Alex. Not caring that Reid had technically tried apologizing. It wasn't going to work right now. End of story. "No. Tell me what you meant by that. You never thought you'd like someone after me... What does that mean." Chase asked him, not taking his eyes off Alex the entire time. He could hear Brent say something. He wasn't paying much attention to Brent for once, though.
Then when Alex had started saying all the 'McKinney' crap. No one messed with Brent without Chase getting mad. He quickly let go of Chase and stood up to face Alex, or the fleeting figure that was Alex. He pulled his wand out of his pocket and pointed it at the door. Forcing it closed and locked with one swift movement and no words. His magic always seemed to work better and more of the way he wanted it when he was mad.
"You're not leaving. I won't let you. Apologize to Brent, tell me what you meant, and get your fucking head out of you ass."

This was not good, not good at all. Not only did Alex have his wand out but now so did Chase. This was getting out of hand. He had to make sure these two didn't hex one another. It would not be good if they did.
He stepped between the two, hoping not to get hexed by one or both of them. "Now just calm down, both of you. Put your wands away. We do not need anyone getting hurt over this. Can we please just talk to each other without yelling or wands?" He didn't want to have to get his wand out too. He didn't want any wands out at all.

Reid was right. They had to calm down. Alex had to calm down. A little bit at least. But having a door slammed literally in his face...it had angered him terribly. Who was Chase to demand things from him? To order him around like a student of his? Don't leave, don't do this, do that... Alex's jaw tensed visibly as he resisted the urge to grind his teeth. "Why don't you put two and two together and use that pretty head of yours, eh Chase?" Alex said, tapping the side of his own temple with his wand, causing sparks. He really did not want to talk about this in front of Brent and Reid. Besides, what was the point? Just to boost Chase's ego? "You just think back some and you'll figure it out." Alex hissed, his voice dripping with venom. He had his wand held at the ready again, the slender, dark stick of ebony held lightly yet firmly in his right hand. "And apologize to Brent? Ha!" The spaniard scoffed. He could feel his anger continue to bubble even though he could tell that McKinney's had ebbed away some. Now it was Chase he was focusing on. He was just so furious. As if he had been holding this in some time and it had just decided to come out all at once... Alex needed to get some fresh air and a strong drink before he did something he'd regret. The young man pointed his wand at the door and growled Bombarda. And the door was no more. Just a splintery jumble was left in its place after an ear-splitting roar and crunch consumed the dining room. Chase could lock a door but it didn't stop Alex. "Make me apologize to McKinney, I dare you." Alex called from the hallway as he stomped down it. He could of just apparated to the band room for his instrument but he hadn't wanted to risk splinching himself. His concentration flagged when he got into a temper.

Chase didn't think that he had ever been this mad before. Not lately at least. He couldn't stand thinking that Alex, his supposed best friend, had just insulted his boyfriend. That just wasn't right in his mind, and he was furious about it. You didn't insult Brent in front of Chase. Never.
"Why don't you fucking tell me what I have to put together." Chase spat at him. He wasn't in a mood to try to figure anything out at the moment, and Alex better realize that and just fucking tell him. That's all he knew.
"Come back her, Coward!" Chase yelled at Alex after he had blown up the door. He wasn't even going to think about how mad Brent was going to be because his door was just blown off the hinges. That couldn't be good honestly.
With a mumbled, "Move." towards Reid, Chase pushed him to the side so he could get a clear view of Alex in the hallway. Petrificus Totalus! Chase thought as he pointed his wand at Alex and shot the spell down the hallway toward Alex. He was going to stay, whether he liked it or not.

Reid honestly had no idea what to do. Brent was not really helping the situation any but he finally stopped adding to it. Then there was Chase who decided that his wand was the best way to solve this. In reality it was only making things worse. Then there was Alex. He understood why Alex was mad, he really did. But once you got him mad he was hard to bring down. Even Reid couldn't get him to calm down. Now he's blowing up doors and storming out of rooms.
He heard rather that saw the curse Chase threw at Alex. Reid rubbed his temples at the moment. This was not going to end well, he just knew it. Someone was going to get hurt, he really hoped that that someone was not Alex. He already had to deal with an angry Alex, he didn't want to add injured to that list.
"Can't we all just get along," he mumbled to himself. He just wanted this over with.

and turned to see his kitchen door - or what had used to be his kitchen door - which was now just splinters of wood on the floor. There was no doubt in his head that Alex was to blame for this. Before he could do anything, Chase had petrified Alex though. It's not like he didn't deserve it..."Everyone just stop before someone blows up my house please!" he roared, getting to his feet. The situation really was getting out of hand now.[/ul]

Chase had just called him a...coward? That man was certainly getting it now. Alex stopped stock still in the hallway and turned out, poised to cast a hex. But it was too late. Without even having enough time to think Protego, Alex heard a whooshing noise and watched, helpless and with wide eyes, as a beam of light struck him in the chest. Alex's legs and arms were pinned to his side and he was sent careering backwards, unable to do anything, even soften his fall into a small table in the hallway. With a crash and a thud, Alex lay there petrified and face down in the corridor. Alex was livid. His body trembled, his breathing came quick and heavy, and angry, frustrated tears leaked from the corners of his eyes. He didn't even know if he had hurt himself in his tumble to the floor. He was uncapable of feeling anything besides pure fury. If Chase knew what was good for him he'd leave the Spaniard like that for an hour....or few...or maybe just for the rest of the night. Alex was going to give him a piece os his mind when this spell had been lifted. No one. Absolutely no one. Called him a coward before jinxing him while he had his back turned.

So in reality, Chase knew he shouldn't have done that. He had just gotten angry, and couldn't just stand there while he insulted his boyfriend like that. He just couldn't. It wasn't who Chase was, even though doing what he did wasn't exactly him either... He had to.
Seeing that the hex had hit Alex and he was petrified Chase walked back over to Brent with deep sigh. "I shouldn't have done that... should I?" Chase looked at Brent with a pained expression. Showing that he probably shouldn't have cursed him like that. It was done and over with though... right?
Wrong... Alex was probably pissed and would just turn around and hex him back when he got out of it. At least his boyfriend was the Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher. Right? He had to know how to protect against curses and hexes. It was his job.
Deciding that it was better just to... get over it, he turned to Reid. "Look. I'm sorry... I really am. It wasn't that I wasn't happy for you. It was just the fact that you guys were trying to hide it from us. That we had to find you two kissing for us to know. You guys have been my best friends for how long now? But more than that... you guys have been my family. It just hurt me..." Chase looked at Reid honestly. "And I hope he heard that in the hall way... You should er... go un petrify him. I have a feeling he's gonna be pissed." Chase looked at Reid with a worried look. Wrapping his arm around Brent for strength. That little Spaniard kind of scared him.

Reid knew this needed to stop and fast. Things were getting way too out of hand here. Chase jinxing Alex was not the brightest idea on his part. Now Reid had to clean up that mess too.
He listened to everything Chase had to say. Though he knew why he and Alex hadn't said anything, he was also starting to understand how Chase felt. "Look Chase, I get it, I do. You guys are my best friends. I don't want to ruin that. Will you forgive us? Can we just put all of this behind us?" He knew Chase and Brent would have to talk it over so he left the room to go help Alex.
He walked into the hallway and found Alex seething in his petrified found. "Love, I'm going to release you and you are NOT going to run in there to jinx Chase. It was stupid of him and while I'm upset, I think we all just need to sit down and talk this out, okay? They are our best friends. We have to work this out. Okay?" He released Alex, ready to hold him back if he had to.
