Alex was hearing people talking but his mind wasn't processing a single word. It was too saturated with fury to able to. He just wanted Reid or someone to release him to retaliate. He was going to make Chase pay for getting him in the back. A sly move it had been indeed. That wasn't how Alex dueled. If he had been able to make any noise, he'd be growling or making a similar sound. Alex completely ignored Reid's pleas for calm and sat bolt upright. Where he had banged into the table sent a tremor of pain jarring his back - it just fired him up more. "CHASE!!" Alex shrieked, making a fluid whipping movement with his wand. From the tip erupted slivers of green, blue and purple. They twisted in mid air to trace the outline of the silhouette of a bird that swooped in on Chase. Beak open and talons out, ready to career into Chase and knock him clear off his feet. But the magical bird never met its target. With a shower of sparkle and a fizz noise, it disappeared suddenly. Its caster was rolling onto his back....laughing and pointing. Alex, being so focused on the charm, had forgotten completely about the casserole that he had previously stuck to the ceiling. And now it was all over Brent. It was hilarious. Alex just pointed and laughed incontrollably, falling backwards on his seat againt Reid. "Oh God.... Brent... I forgot..." Alex gasped between bouts of hearty chuckles as he wiped salty water than leaked from the corners of his eyes. Brent looked priceless. Aex felt his anger rapidly disappate. He couldn't be serious seeing the pathetic view he had of a casseroled Brent.

Chase was kind of afraid of what was going to happen when Reid released Alex from Chase's spell. He gripped onto Brent a little tighter when Reid went in the hall to un petrify him. At least Chase hadn't done anything worse than that. He didn't think he'd be able to do that to Alex even if he wanted to.
Then when he heard Alex shout his name... he feared for his life for a second. Especially when he saw his friends face and his wand moving. He cringed into Brent's side before seeing the spell and then the effects of the spell. Had Alex actually sent a bird flying at him, about to attack? Chase was used to a lot worse of animals attacking him. Hell, he had gotten trampled by unicorns not too long ago. He brought his wand up to get rid of it fast, but before he could do any spell, the bird disappeared and he felt Brent cringe in a little before yelling out in shock and pain. Looking over at him, Chase noticed that there was casserole all over him.
Chase burst out into laughter right away, he already heard Alex laughing. Still laughing, Chase brought his hand up to Brent's head and grabbed a piece of casserole out of his hair before sticking it in his mouth, then looking over at Alex. "Tastes good!" He laughed. Chase knew Brent was going to be pissed off about this. It was a Brent thing to do. So Chase kissed his cheek where there wasn't any casserole. "You look adorable like that, Boo-Boo." He joked again, smiling brightly at his boyfriend. The tension in the room was gone... for the most part. Maybe this was what they needed.

Reid was worried for a minute when Alex cast his spell, that is, until he saw it. A bird. The love of his life sent a bird after their best friend. Really?
He was about to question Alex's health when he saw Brent. Poor man. They had all forgotten about the casserole. It was just all over him. He couldn't help it. He starting laughing. It was so funny. They were all there fighting about to rip each other apart. And now, now one of them had food all over himself. Talk about comic relief!
He was still laughing when he remembered that his boyfriend had been hurt. "Jay, are...are you...okay?" He tried to say it without laughing, but it was just too much.

Alex fell silent all of a sudden, his face a picture of a person taking offense. "Don't doubt my cooking!" He squeaked, furrowing his eyebrows. "It tastes good because it is good. Brent's ego has nothing to do with it." Alex gave one big nod, making a 'hmph' noise as he did. A smile quickly turned up the corners of his lips again. He was joking. Partly. Alex turned to Reid and nodded again, rubbing his back. "I'm good. Just a bruise, I guess." He craned his neck around and slipped up his shirt, trying to get a look. Although he couldn't exactly see, considering where he had fallen into the table, he knew he'd have a purple blemish. Brent's jabby fingers brought bruises on him, so a table definitely would. "You can rub some Witch Hazel's on me later." Alex whispered, keeping his voice well out of earshot of Brent and Chase. After all that had just happened, having them hear would make him feel awkward. "Now help me up, Ree." The young man smiled, his nature sunny once again instead of stormy. "Oh and Chase? .... I do plan on getting you back. No one hexes me in the back." A practical joke was in order. But Alex planned to take his time with it...it had to be perfect. "But, seriously, I am kinda hungry. While eating food off Brent's body may be a turn on for you Chase....it isn't so much for me..."

Chase was glad when all four of them were laughing. It felt good to be back to the four friends they were. He supposed it wasn't too big of a deal that they hadn't told them they were dating and that they were going to hide it from them. At least... Chase was going to drop it and just be happy.
"Booo!" Chase whined with a smirk toward his boyfriend. "Haven't you ever heard 'sharing is caring!?'" He laughed, then turned toward Alex. Who was talking about his back, which was now going to be bruised no doubt.
"I'm sorry, Alex... I shouldn't have hexed you. I deserve whatever..." Chase looked away from him. Too ashamed to look at him any longer. He couldn't believe what had come over him. "But I guess now you know what happens when someone insults my Boo..." Chase said as he looked at Brent with a smile, showing him he meant it. He would do anything for Brent.
"I don't think Boo's gonna share any more. So I say we order something seeing as you probably had to search for food in this kitchen... I'll have to force Brent to go food shopping sometime." He laughed, still looking at Brent. "Chinese or Pizza?" He turned back to his other band mates and best friends with as big a smile as he had just given Brent.

"Hey!" Reid whined at Brent. There was no need to attack him with food. He turned and stuck his tongue out at him. Yes, it was childish but he didn't care.
Reid smiled at Alex. He wanted his help making him feel better. That was something he would gladly do. He went to help Alex up. While doing so he whispered in his ear, "I'll gladly help with your back. I'll go with you back to your place when we leave." When he got Alex up he gave him a little peck on the cheek, keeping his arm around him.
He turned to Chase. "I vote Chinese." Reid and Alex were having pizza before their movie tomorrow. He didn't think that twice in as many days was a good idea.

Alex felt himself flush when Reid said he'd accompany him home afterwards. He certainly had no objections to that. But he didn't say anything, he just stood there, snugged into Reid's side with a smile curving his lips. The young man was about to protest when Brent said that he was to pay. But then, as he took a small step forward, a splinter of wood crunched under his shoe. He'd forgotten about that ruddy door. Glancing over his shoulder, he sighed heavily. "I guess its the least I could do. Write what you all want and I'll call it in." It was time to make up for his temper. Alex felt embarrassed...he hated letting himself get into such a state. One of these days it was going to get the better of him and land him in serious trouble, he could feel it. He twirled his wand in one hand before pointing it at the wooden wreckage. He muttered "reparo" once more and the splinters began to reassemble themselves like pieces to a jigsaw. "Uh...I'm sorry...about this?" Alex chuckled weakly, his attention never leaving the door. It took a while to fix considering the amount of damage it had sustained. Once finished, he ran his hand over it, checking it for immediate imperfections. He then opened it and tested it on its hinges. "I'm...gonna go tidy the kitchen...a bit." Alex knew that he wasn't just going to clean the mess he had made preparing the casserole. If no one said or did otherwise, he'd end up cleaning the whole thing. "When you know what you want....say." And with that the Spaniard bounded off to the kitchen.

Chase smiled at Reid. It really did seem like things were going back to normal, and Chase was happy about that. Exceedingly happy about that. He couldn't be happier honestly. Then when Brent got all cute and looked down, only to kick him. Well. Chase just laughed. He was in that kind of mood. "Owww! Boo-Boo!" He laughed. Brent was trying to act like he didn't do anything! He would.
"Chinese sounds good to me too." Chase smiled, trying to shake off the pain. He swore he wasn't going to be able to walk much longer if he kept hanging out with Brent, which of course he was. "And I'm not going to let you pay for it all. How about we split? I pay for me and Brent, you pay for you and Reid?" Chase offered him. It was partly his fault everything escalated... he owed Alex that much to not pay for the entire thing.
Conjuring a piece of paper and a pen, he walked over to the table and wrote down what he wanted. Sweet and sour chicken of course, with rice and an egg roll. The only meal to get in Chase's mind. "Write what you two want, Chase said, smiling as he left the pen on the paper on the table.

Reid watched Alex leave. He really wanted to go check on him, make sure he was ok. Mostly he wanted to make sure that he wasn't beating himself up too much. The only thing that kept him from doing so was the fact that both of them in the kitchen was what started all this. If he went in there he'd have to make sure not to start making out with Alex, which might be hard to do.
He quickly came up with a plan. It would get him into the kitchen to check on Alex, but also gave him a purpose to do so. "Chase I'm not sure Alex will let you pay for you two, but you can try." He looked at Brent. "Why don't you write down what you want and I'll take it to Alex so he can order it."

Alex left his friends to wonder what they wanted Alex to order for them. In the kitchen, he left the door partially ajar and fished out his wallet. He didn't exactly have much in cash on him. But he had a nice little card from Gringotts that looked just like a muggle one - he could pay for muggle things with it and the bank sorted everything else out. After charging comission of course. Why did everyone have to want chinese? Because.... Nothing beat chinese.
Alex sighed and brought his hands up to his temples, massaging them. He was still having a hard time getting his head around just how much control he had been about to lose with Chase. He wasn't a violent person. Just someone with a dark temper. But it was no excuse to set a hex after him. Alex suddenly didn't feel so hungry... Maybe he'd just get egg fried rice with his prawn crackers. And some soy sauce.
Some cleaning would probably make him feel better. It usually did. Alex breezed over to sink to begin, getting out some cleaning liquids, a sponge and some gloves. He was going to do this the muggle way. It wasn't as easy but it felt better, it gave a bigger sense of accomplishment afterwards.
The young man grimaced at the state of the cooker and sprayed it a bit before attacking it with a sponge. He'd only been at it for a moment when a hot pain shot up his back. Moaning and grumbling to himself, he snapped off the rubber gloves and rubbed it, in an attempt to soothe it. Maybe the muggle way was out the window for today. Not like Brent would care much.
"You ladies decided what you want yet?" Alex called, lifting up his shirt to get a look at the bruise in his reflection in the window. "If you take too long I'll order without you."

"Sounds good." Chase mumbled to Reid before patiently waiting for Brent to write down what he wanted. Laughing at what he wrote down. It was such a Brent thing to write, it just made him laugh. "Here. Go take it to Alex, and make sure he knows it's going to be two separate bills. Or I'll curse him again." Chase laughed. He definitely wasn't going to curse Alex again anytime soon, but he didn't need to know that.
Chase just let go the whole Brent kicking him thing. Obviously it wasn't Reid, as Brent kicked Chase often without Reid even being there. What Chase did for love... "Go take that to him, then. Before he calls us something worse than ladies. We'll stay put right here until you come back, Reidy." Chase winked at him with a laugh before leaning against the table, sticking his hand in Brent's front pocket of his muggle clothes to drag him closer.
