If it wasn't so obvious that it wasn't him who had kicked Chase, he would have said something. But he knew Chase knew it was Brent. He'd let the two of them 'discuss' it while he was in the other room. He sure didn't want to see what that entail, especially with the look Chase was giving Brent.
He grabbed the paper and went into the kitchen. When he got there he saw Alex had his shirt up. If it wasn't for the large bruise on his back he would have admired the picture in front of him more. Instead he walked over to Alex with a frown on his face. His Jay-bird didn't see him as he was trying to see the bruise. "Jay, that looks horrible. Are you sure we shouldn't do anything about it now?" He brought Alex into his arms and gave him a kiss on the head. "Oh and I brought the order from the guys. Chase wants you to know he plans on paying for him and Brent. He also said that if you refused he would curse you again." Reid nuzzled Alex's neck. He loved holding him in his arms.

kitchen... he supposed he'd just have to deal with that for now. "Oh, hey there." Brent smirked up at his boyfriend before pinning Chase against the wall, still smirking, and kissing him. It was the obvious thing to do while Alex and Reid were in the other room.[/ul]

Alex jumped slightly on hearing Reid's voice fill the kitchen. He yanked his his shirt down and whipped around to face him. "Its not that bad." Alex smiled weakly into Reid's chest when he wrapped his arms around him. "I can wait. I don't want to make a scene. Some ice'll do me fine." Plus he didn't want Chase to feel bad. It was just a bruise, a bad one maybe, but just a bruise. They just looked worse on Alex's pale skin and small body. He took the slip of paper off Reid but stayed where he was for a few moments more. Being in Reid's arms was probably the best thing that there was. They had hugged before either knew of the other's feelings but this, this was much different. "Okay, okay. I'm going to call this in now." Alexander chuckled lightly, bringing his shoulders up on being nuzzled. Reid's whiskers were ticklish on his neck. Before making the phone call, Alex, flitted over to the freezer and got himself a pack of peas - it wasn't like Brent was going to miss them. Alex somehow couldn't see Brent freaking out about how Alex defrosted his peas with his body. He stuffed the packet up his shirt with a smile at Reid before going for the house phone. A few minutes later, Alex had placed the order. In fifteen he was going to apparate to pick it up along with some beers. Alex couldn't be bothered for the muggle delivery boy to arrive - it'd be much quicker this way. "I'm sorry about before." The spaniard mumbled, one arm draped around Reid's shoulders and the other tracing invisible lines on the man's forearm. "I never mean to get into tempers like that.... I just get carried away."

Sometimes Brent was too sexy for his own good. Literally. That amazing smirk as Chase had pulled him closer. Chase thought about all the years he had wanted to do that. All the years he had wished Brent would kiss him like he was right now. After all the things they had gone through since Brent had finally realized that he was bisexual and that he liked Chase, they were finally together. Even after cheating on his wife, all the drama, everything. They were together and that was all that mattered, right?
Chase laughed as he was shoved against the wall, kissing Brent back. Chase thought that it was probably a good thing Reid and Alex were here right now. Otherwise Brent and Chase would spend all of their time making out with each other. Literally. Not that Chase objected to that. It was just a fact. He wrapped his arms around Brent's waist and dragged him closer to him so that Chase was a sandwich in between the wall and Brent.

Reid didn't believe that it was nothing but he didn't voice his thought. Alex was the Healer after all. He just thought his...boyfriend?...was trying to make it not as big of a deal as it really was. He would let it go though.
While Alex ordered their food he thought about the term. They hadn't even gone out on a date yet but he knew he wanted Alex to be his boyfriend. He wanted him to be officially his, not that he wasn't unofficially already. He sighed. He loved the man for Merlin sake. Why wouldn't he want him to be his boyfriend. The question was, when did he ask Alex to be his boyfriend? Now? During their date? After? Why did this have to be so hard.
He wrapped his arms around Alex when came back in the room. Maybe he'd ask him now. It was fast, he knew that, but he wanted Alex to know he wanted it. First, he should listen to what Alex was saying. "It's fine Jay. Emotions were high. I don't blame you. I promise, it's all ok."
Reid knew he needed to ask Alex now or he'd have to wait until tomorrow. He brought one of his hands up and started playing with Alex's hair. "Jay, I've been thinking. I've realized that my feelings for you are deeper than I had thought. I know it's a little fast but...butwillyoubemyboyfriend," he finished in a rush.

to understand. "I should've never let you go, Chase Jackson." Brent whispered after breaking the kiss but staying in the same position as he looked into Chase's eyes, showing him just how much he meant it. If he'd stayed with Chase the Brent was sure he'd be a lot happier. For one, he'd never of had anything more to do with Maryn... would that necessarily be a bad thing though? Maybe he'd spend a lot less time biting people's heads off and more being a generally cheerful person. It would still be a hard job considering the kids at Hogwarts that got on Brent's nerves 24/7.[/ul]

On returning to the kitchen, still clutching the peas on his back, Alex could've swore that Reid looked different. Just a tiny bit, though, there was something on his facial expression that Alex couldn't quite point. He brushed it off, it was probably just Reid being his handsome self, Alex thought with a snicker. The smile that toyed with his lips didn't fade for even a second when Reid said that it was alright, that he didn't blame him for his outburst. Alec wished he could say that Reid would never have to worry about his temper ever... But he didn't want to lie. Alex promised himself that he'd be on his best behavior and count to ten in the future. The young man briefly closed his eyes and leaned into Reid's hand when he fiddled with his hair. That man was so sweet. If it wasn't so frowned upon Alex would gladly steal him away and chain him to a radiator so he'd never leave. Well, probably not that, but the idea was the same. Alex never wanted to let Reid go. Then Reid had began to talk. Alex slowly opened his eyes and looked up at him. His face glowing a brighter shade of rose with every word - he knew where this was going. He tried to keep his breathing nice and slow while his heart raced ahead. This question was bound to of appeared sometime soon. But, for Alex, it felt like he had waited too long for it. Ever since the morning in his house, he knew it had only been a matter of time. Alex's smile stretched wider, he had given up on keeping his composure - he knew his answer well. But how did he answer? "Yes" seemed so simple and plain. The young man wrapped his arms tightly around Reid and pressed his lips into his, making his smile go away for a moment so he didn't catch Reid's lip. "You took your time to ask...." Alex whispered, chuckling merrily. He was just so happy. Reid wanted him, Alex, to be his boyfriend! The evening just got a whole load better. " ...boyfriend." Alex had to say it out loud. Just to hear it for himself. It fell off his tongue so nicely, so easily. "Come with me to pick up the food, cari?"

Chase was surprised when Brent pulled away from the kiss, normally it was Chase that had to break the kiss. Chase's breathing was ragged, but he was glad when Brent didn't move away, he just looked in Chase's eyes and probably said the cutest thing in the world. It made Chase's heart skip a beat, honestly. Brent was just perfect. Always had been.
"We're together now. That's all that matters. Nothing in the past is important. It's just you and me. Us" Chase told him, looking into his eyes back. "Do you find it as weird as I do that our band ended up in two couples that actually seem perfect for each other?" Chase chuckled, putting his forehead on Brent's and resting it there, not wanting to move from his actually quite comfortable position.

Reid smiled ear to ear when Alex said yes. Yes. The man he loved had agreed to be his boyfriend. It was almost as big as a proposal in a way. He was so happy. He pulled Alex into a deep kiss once he stopped talking. It was passionate. It was deep. It showed his love for this man. He pulled back eventually as the need for air became present.
"You have no idea how much it means to me that you said yes. Part of me knew you would but the other part was scared for a split second that you would think it was too fast. But judging by your 'taking so long' comment, you expected this sooner." He kissed Alex again, a short one this time. "Let's go get the food so that we can eat and leave. I want you all to myself right now."

The bag of defrosting peas fell to the floor with a smush sound, but Alex couldn't say that he cared. The young man was too busy with his arms around Reid, enjoying the first few lip-locked moments of being Reid's boyfriend. Boyfriend, god. It sounded foreign. His first, proper boyfriend. He wanted it to last forever. "Me all to yourself?" Alex repeated, slighly breathless. "I like how that sounds." He looked up at Reid and gave a small smirk. Maybe they could forget the order and.... No. That would peeve their friends off. And Alex didn't really want that now things were better again. Alex supposed he could wait an hour or so. "Best not dawdle then. Lets go get that chinese and beer." Alex trailed his fingers lightly down Reid's arm until he found his hand, he gripped it gently yet firmly with a coy smile. The Spaniard turned on his heel and marched out the kitchen. "Eww.... Get a room!" Alex snickered seeing Brent and Chase pressed up against a wall. He hoped he never had to get use to seeing that. It wouldn't be right. With glowing cheeks he dragged Reid past them, smiling all the while. He walked stiffly, the partial numbness the peas had given was rapidly fading away. Alex forced Reid out the door so they could apparate away but he caught it just before he closed it completely. Alex opened it again, just enough to poke his head though. "Ree-eeeid is my boyfrieee-eeend!" Alex sang before quickly shutting the door. They were official now, they were going to have to of announced it. Alex wrapped an arm around Reid and reached up to kiss him but just before their lips met he made them disapparate with a crack.

Chase was about to answer Brent when he heard Alex's voice saying they needed to get a room. They weren't even kissing. They were just pinned against a wall being close to each other. Chase was sure Reid and him had done worse in the kitchen. "You wish." Chase said before kissing Brent just to smite them.
Pulling away, Chase laughed when Alex was singing that Reid was his boyfriend. Such a loving group. Chase shook his head when Alex kissing Reid before apparating away. "What are we going to do with them, Boo?" Chase said, smiling at his boyfriend. Reaching around to try to pull Brent closer even though he was pretty sure that was impossible.
"I love you." Chase told him, smiling widely before kissing Brent's forehead. They better hurry up with the food. Chase was starving. There was still pieces of casserole in Brent's hair, what a shame that went to waste...

Reid laughed as they left. He knew Alex was going to do it but it was still funny to hear it. He was happy though that he made Alex happy enough to sing it to the world...well, their friends, but that was close enough. He loved this man.
They apparated to the Chinese place. It was a simple place but he didn't pay much attention to it. He secretly wanted to just get their food, stuff his face and take Alex back to his apartment to attack him. He didn't care how far things went now. He loved Alex and just wanted to show it.
They quickly paid for their food and apparated back to Brent's. He walked inside ahead of Alex and straight to the kitchen. He didn't even look at the other two. "Alright you two. Peel yourselves off each other and eat."

Getting the chinese went past really fast. By the looks of things they had probably hung about in the kitchen maybe a minute too long because when they had arrived the order was there, in a plastic bag, ready to be paid for and taken away. Alex had "forgotten" that there were meant to be two bills - one for him and one for Chase. He just hoped that Chase's curse threat hadn't been serious. He doubted it was anyway. And if it were... you wouldn't be able to hex something with puppy eyes.
"Well get a move on then, Mc-Kin-ney." Alex snickered, punctuating every sylable of his friend's surname with care to tease. "Or I'll eat your prawn crackers. I can never eat too many of those." With that he overtook Reid and disappeared into the kitchen first, rustling about in the plastic takeaway bags for his order. In the end he had gotten only egg friend rice and prawn crackers. It was a pathetic order considering the large array of dishes they had offered in the takeaway. But Alex didn't care. It was yum, it filled his tum, it got the job done.
Alex found his order and got out a tray of Newcastle Brown Ale. He'd owed Brent beer and he had promised to buy him something that wasn't watery. He set it down heavily and just looked at his friend with a nod before pushing it along the table and out of the way so they could eat. Then Alex had an important decision to make - did he use the plastic cutlery provided or... did he risk using Brent's. He stayed like that for a moment, just stood there staring at his rice. He opted for the plastic fork - it came in a packet, it was probably safer.
"Buen aprovecho." Alex smiled before piling rice onto his prawn crackers and adding drops of sweet and sour sauce. He sat down with a small wince and munched away on his food. He sat there content, eating and washing every few mouthfuls down with some beer, looking from friend to friend in turn. He reached over and gave Reid's knee a small, little squeeze.
This was awesome.
